Thu Nov 13, 2014 4:07 pm

I'm getting worried about that robot probe they called Philae. It has landed on the comet and is stable, its sending pictures but now they have concerns about its battery life............its just one thing after another........any space guru's on here who can put my mind at rest tonight.........??? don't think i'll sleep otherwise.

It's comforting to know that our world leaders are able to spend billions of dollars on sending a probe to a comet, on such a worthwhile and useful mission. I bet the starving millions of the world, and people who live in filth and squalor are glued to the news, and are just happy clapping in excitement at the prospect of further revelations about how the comet works and what its made up of.

Space exploration is the most important thing our species will ever do.

In my opinion it is everything. The great unknown is the great mystery of our existence.

It is just a shame we will be dead and gone before anything major occurs. But we can't shut up shop because we'll be dead.

That opinion makes in quite hard for me to get back to work now  It's all pointless!!

Yes its FAR more important than feeding the world, or housing the vulnerable and needy.

Breaking news has just confirmed that signs of life have been discovered before batteries have run down.

Don't worry, it'll take them ten years, minimum, to get to planet earth!

I'd rather see us exploring space rather than trying to teach the third world to stop breeding.

Finding out about the Origins of life not important. Evolution of man not important? In just about 250,000 years (considering the earth is around 4.5 billion years old) we've come from being caveman to being able to land a probe on an asteroid traveling at 34,000 mph. Does that not amaze you? One day in order to continue the human race we will have to leave this planet. I would say stuff like this is massively important.

OP, you strike me as one ignorant mother flipper!
