Yeah, I saw this the other day and at first I thought "what the f**k? He's decent enough to keep going surely?" but then you read the first couple of paragraphs and totally understand his decision. I'd probably still prefer to be earning a footballer's wages and being in the gym all the time mind... I am really lazy though!

it makes you wonder how much he must of been earning as a footballer and to still have a mortgage, because in england the average teachers wage is between £20-£30k a year, and he said its about a third of what he earnt as a footballer
