Slades Comments on Daehli...

Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:15 am

I think have been taken way out of context by the likes of Annis and Carl. Fair enough both of you have your own opinion and both hate tan etc and so do I some times...

But slade always goes on about every players attitudes saying that is a big thing he expects from his players is a good attitude and focus and he has not said once that daehli haven't got this.
At the end of the day daehli has come out in the media saying he will leave if he doesn't get game time soon, well slade obviously has to say something back to this and all he is saying and asking of daehli imo is "I don't want you to leave but come back off international duty work hard with a positive attitude and show me you still want to be in this team" he wants him to fight for the shirt which is fair enough really and hopefully he will and this will be the turning point...
I will add also that it is strange and ridiculous why daehli hasent even been on the bench but no1 knows what his head has been like lately since ole left, and maybe aswell it is just slade just being a clueless prick not even putting him on the bench but maybe all this media storm will make slade wake up too and give him a chance and try and actually incorporate some quality and creativity into his team and have a little bit of change of tactics/philosophy to his side which we haven't seen so far...

I will defo cut him some slack its quite likely his comments were taken out of context, I also would not trust WOL too much.

But i did see the video where he made excuses and don't forget it was Slade that started talking about Matts leaving. Matts didn't give an interview to Tucker he was asked about this in a press conference in norway. Those questions wouldn't have been asked if Slade hadn't said what he said pre brum game.
What rubs me up the wrong way is that he talks about Matts to the supporters trust ( "out of his comfort zone") then he says to the media that he is injured, ravel is ahead of him, and now says its attitude in training, something that seems to be at odds with the opinions of Matts former managers at Man U and his own team mate Marhsall.
But never mind,if it really were the case that the guy has the wrong attitude in training, why communicate this through WOL? The guy is 19 ffs,he is basically a kid, give it a rest with the media shitstorm, pull him aside, take him into your office, and have a chat with him man to man, find out whats troubling him, get in his head so you can get him playing ( like Blakey said). Retaliating in the media is the last thing you wanna do, i think it will only alienate Matts further. Apparently what Matts said was taken out of context by tucker,so he will be asking why didn't he ask about my comments before he slams my attitude in the media?
If you look at managers that have been successful in nurturing young talent, Fergie and wenger and the likes, they protect their young players against the media at an early stage. I am sure they are tough with them behind the scenes but they don't get into this tit for tat in the media.

I hate Tan, Carl def does not, Carl has always been on the fence until lately regarding Tan.

As to Daehli, Daehli never rushed to the press,he never moaned, Slade spoke out first, so the press asked Daehli questions, Daehli is an honest kid, all he wants to do is play football, top attitude in my opinion :thumbright: :thumbright:

Every thing in this process is highly documented from statements to the kid being shuffled out of the squad. The only thing that remains a question is why. Is Slade this stupid and poor, or is he under instructions? My opinion is the latter.

Maybe there is an appearance bonus the club don't want to pay? Maybe he has a salary kick-up after a certain amount of appearances. If they were paying Ole a fortunate maybe they did some crazy appearance add-on deals too?

If that's what daehli did then why is everybody making such a fuss? It's an honest opinion not bullshit which I would much prefer

Slade has been very vocal on Daehli, surely Daehli is allowed to reply, even then he has only said if he isnt playing he might have to look to move on....and he is spot on.

For Daehli not to be making the weird benches Slade has is unbelievable.

I agree daehli not really done anything wrong, slade not said nothing too bad with his comments either apart from before saying they might sell him that is bull shit talking to the media like that about a young talent.
All daehli needs to do now is turn up after internationals train hard and then slade needs to put him on the bench at least and give the lad a chance... And if he doesn't it is a farce and a bit of a disgrace.

But, thats exactly what he did after the last international break. After playing very well. Look where that got him
Then Tan wanted to fight another manager on his contract.....

You must love tan because every post you make, there is some sort of derogatory reference to him! Regardless of posts contents! :laughing5:

Slade should have kept quiet, or at least not lie about Daehli having an injury.

Makes me wonder if it's related to our battle with some football agents?

Good point. Tan has said he is in the middle of trying to sue some football agents, I wonder if solbakken agent of daehli and solsjkaer is one of them, that would explain a lot.. I hope it's not though and nothing to do with tan and agents and that daehli is given a fair crack after the international break, time will tell on this one
