At the start of the season I honestly believed at these stages we would be right at the top challenging for automatic promotion or at least in a play off spot. But looking at our position at this present time really worries me considering in my opinion we've got the best squad in the Championship. Ole wasn't good enough, genuine person but just not the right manager for our club. Now, Russell Slade, he definitely deserves a chance but losing to Bolton last week and drawing at a very poor Birmingham side on Saturday worries me, also can't understand why Slade won't give Javi Guerra a chance and why he won't play Daehli?? I know it's only early days for Slade but in your opinion do we have the right manager at our club ??

Mason, I said I would wait till 12 games have gone.
If we beat Reading and draw at watford, that will silence a few critics including me

He seems a nice guy, my main concern is the lack of changes in formation and tactics. We seem to set up same way each and every game both home and away. I'd like to have seen us bring in a good number 2 to help him.

My opinion...No he is not the manager for us..he may seem a nice bloke.. but we don't need a nice bloke.
He may have bags of experience...but not in this division..he now seems to be after a 30 yr old from division 1
Like him if he was that good at his age he would have been playing in the championship now..Slade at 53 has never gone higher than Division1 ..does not have the credentials for the job.
Four away games against struggling sides and cannot score a goal...he cant get them playing away from home..the side has no leader and I am afraid we are weak on leadership of any quality throughout the club...
Come on DALMAN find a new owner..then get out yourself

He has had a decent start. How many points would have Ole had?
Ten out of 18 points is reasonable.
He needs a little more time to get a load of our players off the wage bill and the chance then to strengthen the team.
We have a huge pool of players that we don't need.
Remember Slade hadn't brought in any of his transfers yet.
He had to be given time.

I like him. seems a decent man manager and has picked us up 10 points out of 18.
More wins than losses and he seems to have kicked the players into gear and they are looking better in terms of fitness and attitude, as well as structure and stability

We have got to give the guy until the end of the season, & in to next season, in fairness.
RS has a massive job on his hands, untangling the mess left by the previous regime.
Is he the right man for the job??? Time will always tell.
I think that this season is already "written off",,,,, but any thing is possible in football.
Rest in glorious Hope!
