No Welsh fan Zone in Brussels ,not yet anyway

Tue Nov 11, 2014 7:41 pm

Unfortunately the Belgium police commanders do not want to create a specific fan zone area for ticket less Welsh fans in Brussels. Our Police and FA as well as the Belgium FA are still trying to get them to change their minds but its not looking likely now. Most fans would be wise to gather in the Grand Place area where there are plenty of venues showing the match.

I have done an updated information blog for the game which I will put on line in the morning if there are any specific questions you need asking I can try to put the answers in that blog...

Not long now and we are on our way. Roll on the weekend.

Remember to wear red for Wales and forget club allegiances, this is a Wales match and everyone must stick together to get behind the players.

You want to go to a bar called the Celtica. Happy hour there was from 1pm till midnight last time! Any bottle was 2 euros, including Stella, Strongbow, Desperado etc and their local 4.2% beer Maes is only 1 euro a bottle!

Any idea what the prices are like in the O'Reillys pub ? Looks a tidy pub, nice little balcony to fly some flags.

O'Reilly's is a tidy pub but it's over 4 Euros a pint there. The Celtica bar is only a short 2 minute walk away from there and is way cheaper. I went to both pubs last year but chose to stay at the Celtica because of the prices and there was a great atmosphere there last year with the Welsh and Belgians mixing together. Everyone went to O'Reilly's because of the location and it's more noticeable as it's out on the main road. The Celtica is down a little side street so people didn't notice it at first, but when you get inside you realise it's a big pub, probably bigger than O'Reilly's with drinks over half the price. But whatever pub you go to, you'll have a great time!
