Sad to see more old players selling their medals and shirts etc, Jimmy Greaves, Jimmy Rimmer and Alex Stepney all selling hoping to get a few grand. Sad when you see what footballers earn today that these people have to sell their medals etc. You would think some of their former clubs would buy the stuff, let them keep it and then put it in their club or club museam when they pass away.

When you see players like Rooney earning £300,000 a week. The £50,000 Greaves will get is less than 2 days work for Rooney.
Tottenham should buy the medal and put it on display at the club.

Agreed but these ex players ain't money makers no more. It's sad but the money makers in football are leaches. No doubt the players today will face the same consequences unless they are savey.
