Bellamy on Swansea

Mon Nov 10, 2014 8:39 pm

Very complementary about our friends up the road yesterday on Sky. Appreciate he is being professional as a pundit but I found it quite uncomfortable if am honest! Maybe a little bit to complementary Craig. It is the Jacks after all! A lot of what he said was true but bloody hell!!

He's a Liverpool fan and only played for us to suit himself so he could spend more time with his family, so what do you expect?

I think your right, but he would often sit behind us if he wasn't playing, even at ninian park. He obviously has some connection with cardiff but maybe SOME is the key word. I think like many I wanted to believe the kairdiff kid was coming home to rescue his hometown club but wasn't quite like that.

Unfortunately now you can't even compare the two clubs, they are what we have always dreamed of being but afraid we never will be, they are a good 10 years ahead of us.

Let's face it they have done very well and unfortunately continue to do so. When monk took over we all thought a collapse was imminent but once again they keep going.
I hate them but they are doing what we want.

Bellamy is being honest and only a few of the anti tan brigade can find fault in what Bellamy said. Get the blinkers off guys and don't be jealous. We would give anything to be doing what they are

Bellamy was being a fair pundit & spoke well... Far better than listening to the biased and bitter nonsense from the likes of Leighton James or Hartson.

Bellamy has always said it the way he sees it. Remember is interview after a Wales game a few years back, when things were quite bleak he gave an honest account of how things were, probably not what the manager wanted to hear.

Spot on. Can't really see how he can be criticised.

Spot on, this Bellamy is Cardiff through and through myth really pisses me off, he's a plastic Liverpool fan. Never forgive him for that photo of him dressed in red holding that red scarf aloft. Easy for him as he has NEVER been a Cardiff fan.

It makes me laugh that people think Bellamy is this golden poster boy for Cardiff football...

Yeah, he was a DAMN good player, and yes he did play for us for a time...

But he was a Liverpool supporter. He played for us, and he played well and earned his paycheck but He's going to be looking out for himself. I reckon if a job opened up at Swansea for the right money he'd go for it.

Baffles me how people can say somebody is Cardiff through and through if they support another bloody team.

Fair play to you guys, nice to read the positive comments on here about the Swans.
Can't be easy thing to say due to rivalry, so hats off and thanks for the comments.
Good luck this season, need the Derby back!!

The bitterness towards Bellamy underlines the idiocy of Cardiff fans, a huge part of why the club has never gone places.

Nothing is ever good enough.

Right so surviving last season wouldn't have been good enough because we didn't win the league? Lunacy.

No one can deny what the jacks have achieved and I dont really care. Yes, I wish Cardiff were near the top of the premier but they are not... so the battle continues.

saying all this, I do hate the jack love-ins, probably because I am old school and happy with that.

they and newport have always hated us more than we hated them

I'd disagree that there's much bitterness. Certainly not from me, he was a great player for us and he certainly helped us with what we have achieved. I don't dislike the chap at all, and I don't think many on here do. Wouldn't blame him for taking up with the Jacks who are doing well and all the best to them. I hope we can kick their arse again next season

I DO agree however, that nothing is ever good enough for most cardiff fans. Yeah, we slipped down the championship this season. New manager comes in and gets 10 points out of 18, with home form excellent and away form improving. the boys are looking animated again and hungry to get forward and score and people want to start complaining because we're a whole 5 points off the playoffs....

If we were top of the premier league they'd only be complaining because Kenwyne's left sock had slipped a bit and he was making us the laughing stock of the league

All this because he was complimentary about Swansea beating Arsenal.
