Who Is Picking The Team?

Mon Nov 10, 2014 6:23 pm

Tan, Slade or Young? or a combination?

There is some bizarre behaviour going on at City. You would have thought that Slade would have come in as the new manager swept the slate clean and given every player an opportunity to impress him. He seems to have done the opposite.

I praise him for bringing some stability to team selection after Ole but surely it is not right to isolate your better players, e.g Daehli, Guerra, Ravel Morrison. None have had a start.

Now Slade has started his tinkering and against Brum he dropped one of our better players this season (Fabio) and replaced him with players playing out of position. There has to be something going on in the background and what influence has Tan, or Young got on team selections? Is it just a coincidence that Guerra has not featured since being slaughtered by Young through the press. Neither did Ravel get a start under Young.

Is it just a case of Slade wanting workhorses rather than flair players in his team? or is someone else involved in team selection?

You must be watching a different player, every time that he has come onto the pitch ( in league games) he has been excellent and a class above any other striker at the club. He was particularly outstanding against Huddersfield when he held the ball up well, his link up play was excellent along with his vision and running off the ball. He did more in 20 minutes than any other player did in 90!

Players in the Spanish league have more technical ability. In the champ u have no time on the ball.

This guy scored 15 goals for a relegated side in la liga. Neymar only scored 18. I don't think this guy is poor at all. Just needs confidence . When he leaves us I will be interested to see how he performs.

Only seen guera against boro for 17 mins and was best player we had, I was quite shocked and his touch was superb and was very sharp. 17 minutes does not make him great but just my opinion. Fabio was dropped because while I would have kept him in, he does bomb forward and leave us exposed! We kept a clean sheet!!! Which is what you look for after 3-0 defeat. I do think however tan is involved. Are guerra, Kim, daehli and cala on higher end wages? If so it would make me suspicious

Didn't see him in the cup game but don't tend to judge players on cup performances.

In the league whenever he had come on he has looked quality. He would have to prove himself to start a game but to not have him on the bench and suggest Turner is a better option is an insult to anyone with a brain cell.

Oh god someone started calling Slade a tinker. Forgetting Malky changed the team regularly and half this board would give him a pole polish at half a chance.

He tinkered and we got a clean sheet (2nd all season first away since Southampton).

Cardiff must have the highest ratio of dense fans going.
