Whatever happened to the Director of Football position

With a NFL roster rather than a first team squad I thought we were going to employ a DoF to stop us accumulating too many players

Rick,
An International manager and a Championship player both said to me over the last couple of weeks, that the talk in the football world is that Tan actually believes & thinks he is a Championship manager  Serious by the way.

Bloody hell that's worrying.

So I take it the head scout (as if we use scouts for seniors) reports to slade

I for one do not doubt this for one minute. The dilusional one will no doubt
want to take over as manager when slade leaves - funny to say but truly frightening. He is an absolute nut job and as each day that passes I become more and more concerned at my club and it's welfare.

I'm beginning to wonder if the vendetta Tan has for Malky Mackay is now starting to spill over and is also being directed at us fans by ruining our club. Let's be fair the money he would lose is not an issue to him - he has just made more from one business deal than he has admitted to spending on the running of the club, and he has form as someone who will look to destroy you if you don't fall in line with him and his rantings - I honestly am starting to think the club started off as a serious investment for him but is now his play thing and he is looking for revenge for our dislike of the rebranding and the support shown for Mackay prior to his sacking.

Would you put it past him Annis?

I can't help but think any other way.

In the last 12 months we have gone back 10 years and it is all down to Tan. Like it or not it all started going wrong when he sacked Malky. He then allowed Delman to bring in Ole, remember no one else was considered. Ole will go down as the worse manager in our history. So what does Tan do to cover his tracks? Go and get an experienced manager to steady the ship such as Pulis? No he brings in someone who practically all of us ask why.

If Slade fails this is going to be too much for the fans and this tie there will be riots and they will be aimed at the right man.

I agree with all you say, except for the last part. There will be no riots, maybe the odd demo here & there, but fans will vote with their feet, & just not turn up to games anymore.

In years to come Cardiff City FC will be a glowing example to other would be investors of how NOT to run a football club!

Exactly what I think is happening. Tan will destroy the club just to show he is the boss and whatever he wants he gets, nobody will stand in his way.
That way all his boot licking minions in other businesses he is involved in, will know he is not to be messed with. All our anti-Tan protests have really hurt him and his reputation, so he wants revenge.

I don't know if I am pleased I am not the only one thinking thinking like this, or if I am even more distraught that we may be right!

As I stated, I really do believe he came to the club as an investment and with the good intentions, but I do think he is now toying with us because we have pissed him off, and I fear he will leave this club in a much much worse state than its ever been - he will then no doubt blame the fans, agents, manager, tea lady and everybody else he can think of. Worrying times.

I've lived and supported through the Clemo, rick wright, kumar eras and this is much more worrying to the future of our club than any of those times.

The one thing that does worry me though, is there are some still blinded by the shiny new seats, and the promises the club makes, and still defends the actions of this lunatic.

There are some wise words spoken on this forum but also some very strange ones, and to me this has all the signs of an 'I told you so' moment coming in the near future and it certainly won't be one I will have any satisfaction from. It will be confirmation of the death of Cardiff City FC

Players come and go, so do managers and so do owners! Be it 2 years or 10 years he will go! I personally think he will go within 2 years. He's a complete circus!
