I hope Macheda give ALF half his wages

Sat Nov 08, 2014 9:54 pm

Because the poor little bugger does all his work....

I don't get the idea of Alf dropping deeper, winning the flick on's and Macheda up top not running on to them...

Oh yes because he is bone idle and believes he is doing us a favour......

I've been surprised by ALF work rate. Always thought he was a goal hanging kind of striker. I wasn't too sure when we signed him but he has won me around. Needs a goal and to then get going but his all round play has been good.

People are judging him on goals alone, which is fair enough, that's the main part of his role. If you look at the partnership between alf and macheda though, ALF is the 1 doing all the running, all the pressing of defenders, dropping short to link play. Apart from Macheda 3 goals, he hasn't contributed to anything.

I would love to see ALF playing with Kenwynne or Guerra

He's always been a goalscorer so play him as the main striker with Ravel/Daehli in behind - especially away from home?

Agree that playing Daehli in a No10 role behind lone striker would be the obvious thing to do away from home rather than keep repeating our mistakes.
