" My View today Borring first half and a lively second half, but for me just not good enough "

" My View/Opinion "

' Birmingham City 0 Cardiff City '0

Cardiff City Line up

#CardiffCity Starting XI: Marshall, Brayford, Turner, S. Morrison, Connolly, Pilkington, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Noone, le Fondre & Macheda

#CardiffCity Substitutes: Moore, Fabio, Gabbidon, Ralls, Adeyemi, Kim & Maynard.

Approx 2,000 Cardiff Fans made this journey to cheer on the Bluebirds. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Our fans made a great atmosphere at the start, but as the game got worse, the quieter our fans became in the first half and who could blame them?

On paper without a doubt Cardiff should beat the current Birmingham team and beat them comfortable, before today's game, Birmingham were the lowest goal scorers in the Championship, scoring just 14 goals and on top of that, they had conceded 29 goals which other than Fulham, who had conceded 30,that's the worst record in the Division.

I could of fallen asleep in the first half was that dour and both teams looked like bottom half Championship teams.

The game reminded me of two clubs with nothing to play for, I was shocked to see Fabio dropped and thought the bench was weak, Gabbidon, Ralls, Kimbo, Adeyemi, Maynard and of course Fabio who I felt should have never have been dropped.

What really is now concerning me is our lack of goals away from home never mind we can't even win away.

Our last four always have been Blackpool, Millwall, Bolton and Birmingham. At the time were all at their lowest and we got one measly point from all four.

In the 41st minute we finally had a clear cut chance, Macheda hesitated and messed up a certain goal. :o

Like I say a boring first half.

Half time 0-0

Both teams in the second half went for each other and for twenty minutes it was end to end, in those minutes in the 62nd Birmingham had a goal disallowed for offside.

Macheda was taken off in the 64th minute and I thought he had an awful, replaced by Maynard who did no better. The game was wide open now and I felt it was anyone's game.

In the final ten minutes Birmingham took control of the game and in the 87th minute Birmingham missed a clear chance. 89th Mortison was involved in an off the ball incident, he received a yellow and the Brum player was sent off :ayatollah:

With four mins of injury time to play City didn't even look like taking advantage of the extra man.

Finished 0-0 and I am a worried fan, am I on my own ?

Man of the match for me was Connolly.

For me the ref had an excellent game and probably even saved Cardiff on a couple of occasions ;) ;)

Well its the International break now and Russell Slade will hopefully have a full and fit squad to start with against Reading on Friday night 21st November at the Cardiff City Stadium, lets hope for no more injuries and those with current injuries are all ready to go. But even with a few injuries, there is enough talent out of 31 players to choose from. :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

only gripe with what you say annis is both bolton and brum were picking up after bad starts, so not as easy as their position indicates but like said earlier he needs to change the attack its clearly not working,

Its more worrying that the tactics aren't working. We playing like a mid table club. A long way off from promotion. No where near!!

I don't think we have the talent at our disposal. No one has been found out because he's so left footed.Macheda is just shit. Maynard is shit. Most of our players are operated. I was at the game too and I'm very disappointed.

Allan, if we want promotion, then in my opinion we should of at least got 9pts from our last 12pts, these teams were very ordinary and the League table does not lie.

maybe so annis but this league doesnt operate like that! but think playoffs looking more likely than top 2 as i thought earlier in season. :bluescarf:

I have given up.
Hard to be an exile but the slade young gabbidon thing is never going go work.
We are are joke at the moment.
RANT OVER.

We don't look like a team capable of gaining promotion or play offs at moment. 1 pt from milwall, Bolton, Blackpool and brum is not good enough or acceptable in my opinion

These teams av really struggled and with the squad we have and the parachute payments we have received we should be showing more capability than we actually are...

I'm past worrying, simply resigned to a mediocre season nowhere near the playoffs. Under the current manager / coaches this won't improve next season either. Thinking about it more worryingly is next season once Slade has had a couple of transfer windows as I fear what could be coming our way and what we are about to let leave.

I agree with you.

Not only have we got just one point form the four games you mention, we have not scored a goal in any of them!

Mike my worry was today, Slade could not change the game.
Also at the end Brum fans and their players celebrated like they had won, they are 2nd from bottom.
We cant keep dropping points.

Macheda has been a let down over all and Maynard well not for me.
It was very disappointing once again.

If an experienced coach is not brought in then its midd table at best in my opinion.

We in for a relegation battle imo. Squad is full of players that think they are better than they are.

Could well be the case.. We don't have a leader on the pitch, and we don't have someone who can grab the game by the scruff in the midfield. We have creative players but the fail to even make the squad.

Exactly and its time Slade addressed the leadership.
Give the armband to Gunnar or Turner, players that have the desire.

Ive always said I would totally Judge Slade after 12 games, but so far what your saying its sadly looking that way,but theres still time.

Annis the only way I can see us improve id to give slade a top number 2 to work with. He's far too one dimensional and as Lennon said, they didnt need to do much homework on us and we were very predictable. We've been found out by bottom 3 teams.

I agree with most of the above posts and Annis, I also cannot believe Fabio was not fielded!! :o

The positive is a clean sheet but we have to remember Birmingham have been blunt at the front so maybe not such an achievement.

What has happened up front? We Started the season with 5 credible strikers so what's happened to the goals??

The goal was peppered but without accuracy. The keeper should have been tested a lot more. :?

I have no problem with "boring" patches in a game as long as they are due to efficient defence, but there still has to be excitement and ruthlessness at the sharp end.

You're right there is time and I'd feel more positive if there were signs of a playing style developing that would reap future rewards. But nothing seems to be improving and I can't see how we have the coaches to improve our players and/or the style of play.

I know I keep saying it but Tan has made budget cuts in the wrong place by taking on Slade and a third rate coaching set up. Tan might be happy when he reads the accounts but not so much when he looks at the league table.

I honestly dont know what Slade is doing up front?
