Slade a negative manager?

Sat Nov 08, 2014 5:12 pm

Long ball after long ball
3 CBs on the bench
Drops fabio
No place for Ravel, Guerra and Daehli
Only player with flair that seems to fit into his team is Noone but he seems to have lost his ability to go past a man and is just hoofing the ball like everyone else.
Crap possession stats
Very negative football imo.

I talk about what's happening at the club with the missus now and again, she summarised it perfectly this morning 'you'll never get anywhere without the right management team'

The fortunes spent at the club should of gone to hiring experts in football management. It seems someone at the club wants to control that area and sees a football manager as a threat rather than an asset.

No ravel, guerra or daehli is concerning...

Don't you know that Ravel & Daehli have been pronounced injured ffs.
2 managers haven't picked Javi so obviously he's either shit in training or his attitude is wrong! Get a grip.

Ravel was injured no one really knows what the deal is with Daehli. And Its not like its the first time those two are not in the starting XI, since slade took over they are benched or not in the squad at all. I think he has no idea how to incorporate attacking players into his system, hence the removal of Fabio probably because he is too much of an attacking full back.

Wasn't Guerra injured while OGS was manager?

Just a thought, but do you think maybe Guerra has a bad attitude because he doesn't want to be here after relegation. He signed a pre contract and was probably expecting to be playing premier league football.

Maybe, but his team got relegated from la liga so it was unlikely he was going to play top flight football. I find it baffling though that a guy who looks do composed on the ball and scored 15 goals for a relegated team in Spain to not even make our bench when we are clearly not scoring is strange. If his morale is low how can he overcome that by not bring involved...

Le fondre has been far too wasteful in front of goal and mancheda is inconsistent depending on what mood he is in..

Negative yes.

More concerning it seems he doesn't know what to do with anyone that isn't a workhorse.

I dont think that's right. At the time it was reported that Guerra had a withdrawal clause to pull out if we were relegated but he decided to honour his commitment to help us get back up. For me then he's got even more of a reason to be pissed off.

Give Slade a chance, he's only been in charge for a few weeks. 3 wins out of 3 at Home playing two up top. Daehli has a hip injury, Ravel is always injured and Javi is better in his own head than on a pitch. If the team and manager are so bad why do you bother supporting them at all. Judge Slade at the end of the season not now, he's already done more for us than Ole ever did.

Terry Phillips said this yesterday:
-Mats Daehli is not included in the 18 on duty.
I chatted to him in the tunnel at the Macron Stadium after the Bolton defeat and he seemed okay, but I’m certain he just wants to play football.-

He will probably play for Norway next week

RS has a coaching career spanning over twenty years, most, if not all, being in the lower leagues. There must be a good reason for this?

He has a reputation for dealing in the "free" transfer market. Also an "eye for detail"??

Vincent Tan was advised to hire Slade, in what turned out to be a farcical affair with Orient FC.
Its also alleged that he's one of the lowest paid managers in the Championship. Given also the fact that he wasn't allowed to bring in his own management team, but keep the current "caretakers", it all adds up to a whole load of limitations that, in due course, is going to be very damaging to our club.

Whats the current worth of our club?
What would we be worth in the First division??

As a previous poster said recently, this time last year we beat Swansea City in the Premiership. Yesterday we struggled to get a result against a bottom three club in the Championship,,,for the fourth time running.

If that's not going backwards, then i don't know what is!

Of course we've gone backwards!!
We've gone backwards the day Malky was sacked.
In the Premiership, out of the relegation zone, ticking over nicely (except for those that thought Cardiff City should be playing football like Arsenal), to this!!

Not Slades fault so to all the constant moaners - give the guy a bloody chance!

RS will be given more of a chance that most, purely because he was VT's personal appointment.

Just like the ridiculous re brand itself, VT will stubbornly "stick with it", because it was his idea, no matter how good or bad things get.

Yeah your right but I'm not talking about Tan I'm talking about our 'supporters' giving him a chance & stop moaning about everything under the sun.
