MATTS DAEHLI

Thu Nov 06, 2014 6:05 pm

His time with us is up and he is not worth keeping him on.

I don't say that because he is not worth it. I say it because his hero was a failure here and he needs to move on.

Take into account guys MD came to us because of his national hero Ole. Ole turned out to be a flop. That will be playing on Daehlis mind so it is time to let him go.

I agree I think he's not suited to the championship he's too light weight

Can't help but agree unfortunately. He'll be a great player but I think his time with the club now has been tainted.

Nothing to do with the level Wez. His hero has failed here and he does not want to be associated with us.

Where does that leave Macheda, Le Fondre, Morrison, Fabio, Adeyemi and so on? They all came for the same reason. Old Russel wont have many players left to work with soon, but apparently he is good building squads? Even in between transfer window :?

Doesn't matter. They all want the same. Play football. If they are not they will look to do so. Have nothing to do with not wanting to be associated with.

There's a lot more you can add to that list. Even Manga was pursuaded to come here because of Ole. Stupid to think that Slade could ever build a squad with our current potential.

What would you do in his position having Gabbidon, Turner and Connolly on the bench ahead of you? Look for logic and keep working to get in the team?

The fact of the matter is, if Matts don't want to stay (which appears the case), then he gets a move.

I hope he stays & develops,,,I really do!

Actually Manga came to us because he believed we would go straight back up.

We are not going straight back up and Manga will be gone come the summer break.

For me so far, Slades inexperience at Championship level and his coaching staffs no experience at all is starting to already tell.

No with Ravel, Mats, Guerra, Kimbo and Burgstaller gone its going to be very depressing in January! We'll be left with a squad of Brickies, Chippies, Hod Carriers and Painters and Decorators. Ok maybe with the exception of Manga, Fabio, Marshall and Noone. I'm going for a pint! :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Re: MATTS DAEHLI

I think some people want to find excuses for Slade . But he is wrong on this one. Bringing up OGS as if he is Matts dad or something ( Matts was fine without OGS at ManU for years so why wouldn't he be fine here?) is just an excuse. The reason he leaves is more than likely Slades priorities stuff like 3 centre backs on the bench and one of them is 35 years old. If you're Matts you'd probably think wtf too?

Bottom line is that he is 19, has obvious talent and huge potential and could become a big player for us, and if we don't have the patience to see a young player of this quality through some poor games or some adjustment then we might as well stop having young players in our team. They are humans they are not machines that can be consistently brilliant and play to their full potential all the time. That stuff comes later, you expect an older player to be consistent its very rare to find in someone thats still a teenager. He should at least have a spot as an impact sub so that he feels like he has a future here.

2,5 is nothing for this kind of potential for a bigger club, it makes no sense to sell him for football reasons or financial reason.
He should be looked after and if Slade or Tan had the wherewithal they would blood him into the team and sell him later for much more than 2.5. That would make a lot more sense.

I think you should look at the other side of that coin instead. Is he not wanted by the club because he was Oles golden boy?

Ian, its going to massive unless Tan pays Ole off as agreed.
Ole was about to make a big statement the week he left on the Thursday, but Tan promised he would be paid up in full and so no need for any bad issues or fall outs, received nothing since.

It gets better Annis.

Been speaking to a few of the old school like this week. Can't believe how many of them are not bothered if we win or not due to all the shannigans going on. It feels like the days we were in the league just above the dungeon division waiting to drop down again. How can the club expect us to be positive with all this rubbish going on.
