Cardiff City boss Russell Slade fires warning to under-performing stars ahead of Birmingham City clash.

After the devastation of a 3-0 defeat at Bolton in midweek, Bluebirds manager Russell Slade insists he's looking at all his options ahead of Saturday's trip to St Andrews.
Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has warned his players places are on the line for this weekend’s Championship clash at Birmingham after admitting he is perplexed by their away day blues.
Slade is pondering his options following the Bluebirds’ 3-0 horror show at Bolton, which he described as the worst performance produced under him.
Many City fans are clamouring for change and are baffled by the omission of Norwegian teen sensation Mats Moller Daehli from Slade’s planning, while others want Ravel Morrison picked.
Slade has by and large stuck by the same XI since taking over and it has worked at home. But on their travels the Bluebirds have still not managed a single league win this season and Slade is ready to shuffle his pack.
The Bluebirds manager was at a loss to explain the stark difference between City’s upbeat performance in the home win against Leeds four days earlier and the dire display at Bolton.
“The only difference was the location,” he said. “Our game plan didn’t change and we made one change with Joe Ralls in for Anthony Pilkington.
“We have to be solid, mentally stronger in our approach. That means a greater focus and hunger. We lost too many battles in too many areas and gave Bolton a two-goal start.
“Some of our decision-making was poor and we have to be more determined everywhere. If that means changes then we will make them.”
Of the Daehli conundrum, Slade said: “Mats is in the reckoning, but his playing position is arguably the same as Ravel Morrison’s. At the moment Ravel is getting the nod, but even that can change.”
