Discussing team selection in the pub before last nights kick off someone said they'd heard that Daelhi was homesick and had headed back to Norway. That made me wonder if that's what Slade was referring to a couple of weeks ago with his "Matts is finding it hard to adjust" statement.
That riled me a bit because unless Slades been totally put off Daelhi by his backroom staff (Young / Gabbidon) or unless he was living in a cave last season, then surely he knows the potential of Daelhi's talent.
Our supporters, the Media and just about everyone else were tipping Matts as someone who was going to light up the Championship, tear up defences and steer the Cardiff team back to the Premier League.
The talk now that Daelhi is homesick has to be down to the way he's been ignored by our Management team.
Slade needs to pull his finger out and start showing some of those management skills that he was touting as one of his main strengths when he joined us.
I couldn't help but think back to that other great talent from years ago who was a homesick young lad who went home from Manchester after just a few months at Old Trafford. On that ocassion the then manager Matt Busby made it a personal crusade to get George Best back from Belfast. He went over there himself to make sure it happened.
I've no doubt that Daelhi will be feeling like shite after the way he's been treated. Slade needs to stop listening to tainted advice (if that's what he's getting from his support staff) and get Daelhi involved and quickly.
I'd hate to think that Slade can't form his own opinions about players and if he can then it's beyond understanding that he sees Ralls as a better solution than Matts on the left.
Come on Slade show us just what you were referring to when you talked about man management as one of your main skills.

He is not in norway, i don't know where that rumour came from?
He was in bolton, Matts and Declan was there as part of the 20 man squad, but both where left out of the squad. Same thing happened on saturday.

Madness, absolute madness.

It's simple - Slade has watched Daelhi in training and doesn't rate him as highly as some posters on here clearly do.

It's not just posters on here. Most of Norway, Ole (should know a decent player when he sees one) and all those clubs showing an interest last season (Chelsea and Man Utd amongst them).

Yeah he prefers 3 CBs
And Turner as an option upfront instead of Guerra
So apologies if I don't take him to seriously

Let's just look at the facts, apart from the Fulham game and Bournemouth at home Daehli hasn't actually shone, when he has played he literally doesn't seem to know where his position is, and don't get me started on his covering back when we are defending, he follows the ball not marking a player. Problem is that him and Ravel are similar position, however, he should at least make bench, as an option, we don't need 3 centre backs.

Was willing to give RS the benefit of the doubt and assume that Daehli wasn't training well (he certainly didn't play well at any time this season) but after seeing the ridiculous bench and 3 CBs, I cannot fathom why he wasn't involved on the bench.
I can understand preferring Morrison (Ravel) to Daehli, he's performed better than him this season and has more experience of the league, but to suggest that Turner would be a make shift striker, when we have such an array of talent in that department, puzzles me.
Guerra must feel pretty pissed off hearing that too.

Come on!
Daelhi hasn't been given a chance yet under Slade so how can we suggest he's underperforming. Earlier in the season he had a couple of MOMs and didn't play many games.
If he hasn't played how can he have played badley or well?
