' CARDIFF CITY ARE GOING NOWHERE AT THIS RATE '

BOLTON 3 - 0 CARDIFF

Approx 350 City fans made the long trip up to Bolton this evening.

My iPad has broken so I can't do a full match report yet.

For me, this club when you lose at Blackpool, Millwall and Bolton - 3 ordinary/poor sides - is going nowhere at the moment.
At this rate we are looking at mid table at best.

Also what worries me is managers like Ian Holloway and Neil Lennon have also both outwitted Slade,is the inexperience showing?
But saying that the players have to accept a lot of the blame for last night as well.

Tonight even Manga looked done for 90 percent of the game. :o

From Craig Noone to Peter Whittingam it was as if they never turned up on the night. :o

The only credit I can give is to Fabio and Brayford who never stopped battling all game :thumbright: :thumbright:

In the 90th minute we came alive and had 2 shots saved, for me over all we were very poor against an ordinary Bolton team struggling.

Bolton are ordinary, and have been near the bottom three all season. Slade needs to sort out our away form ASAP.
Those players are on 35k+ a week, but tonight the players should be paying the fans for making the trip.

They need to go to Birmingham and put their awful away performances behind them and get the three points.

Fabio was my man of the match. :thumbright:

Now back to the long journey home :ayatollah:

Absolutely agree !

Didn't seem to compete - come January we need the right players in , can see a shed load leaving though

Time to make big changes against Brummies though

We are not organised, have little passion or team spirit, no fight, poor partnerships throughout the team, barely any pace, barely any creativity. Too many players out of form. 11 individuals in a team game.

I'm not sure why anyone thought we were going anywhere in the first place.

It was dreadful stuff. Looked short of ideas & confidence.

Big improvement required.

Should have got a manager with Championship experience and who have gotten a team promoted!

I bet you said exactly the same thing before the Blackpool, Millwall and tonight's game. Time for a reality check for yourself and others. Annis is spot on and although we may be able to get away with playing our game at home and win matches, we will always fail away with our current squad assembled by Ole because they don't have the character to stand up for battle and compete. The Millwall game in particular showed that. On the road we will continually lose to inferior teams because they will be well organised and want it more. Ole turned us into a soft touch and until Slade has at least 3 transfer windows to clear Ole's mess and assemble his own squad, we will continue to be a soft touch.

Very disappointing!

Something has to change for away games if progress is to be made. I didn't see this one coming. The margin is the most shocking thing. With a defence leaking goals and the frustration for benched or dropped players, maybe there's a real case for a home and separate away set up.

Descent home form is being cancelled out by lack-lustre performances on the road.

I've just got home, 03.45! Long day! Agree totally, Annis. Mid table, at best.

This is true & just one of many problems.
The other is we leave our most talented players out because Slade can't find a place for them?

There was no passion and when we went 2nil down, most of the players heads went down.

Yes we had 2 good shots saved in the 90th minute etc, but all was already lost. We got what we deserved nothing.

I had 2 seats for myself, Carl was sat over the other side and it was the connections etc that were stood on.

Ross, it is time for a reality check, at this current rate, we are not going up.

Yes some great results at home :thumbright: :thumbright: but we need to win some away games if we want to go up.

After 12 games, I will judge Slade.

My opinion: we flatter to deceive. In the round we are worse than people think

The most important member of staff is the manager.Need to get that right first.Slade is shit.Pullis would have been the better choice.

I said I would not Judge Slade till after 12 games, but I don't personally ever think he should of been our manager and most said this from day one,but we will get behind him :thumbright:

Perhaps there's an element of naivety when the side is set up for away games. The tactics need to be a lot more defensive and the whole of midfield have to be willing to sprint back at the least sign of danger. The work rate will be huge but so will the benefits in my opinion. It can come over as negative, but look at the successful Italian sides who put 8 behind the ball.

At home, the attacking, more expansive game can be adopted and will no doubt bring points.

Just a thought. :bluescarf:
