A forum for all things Cardiff City

Not at the game, am sure those who went will be able to comment further but we are a real soft touch away from home! It's quite bizarre the difference in home and away form. Have said in previous post be happy with 3 points from 6 but I didn't expect this tonight. Every game is a Battle, brum will be no different. Time to role up the sleeves city or face a mid table finish.

Doesn't mean that we'll stay good at home! Confidence and consistency are missing in this team!

I agree but doesn't mean we will continue with poor away form. Your correct though, missing confidence and belief

Didn't expect that tonight, thought it would be a tight game!

Remember Norwich, Bournemouth and Middlesbro? We're not always good at home

I think he needs to play 4 5 1 away until match opens up , 4 4 2 at this level too predictable

He obviously has to change something, that is the way to go for most managers away, we have to try something different....

I never take too much notice of supposed formations : 4/5/1 : 4/4/2 etc. It's all about the quality and versatility of the players on the pitch.
What we are absolutely missing this season is pace, and any sort of spontaneity. We are so predictable.

I agree that tactics are more about chemistry and player roles but the difference between those two tactics is big. 4-4-2 allows domination of a game where we are already controlling the midfield and therefore providing more attack.....if you don't dominate the midfield then we are always carrying the two strikers which is why we need to change to a 4-5-1.....Gunnar can stay further back then and be ready to break up play away from home.....we were caught in play too many times tonight, not enough movement in the middle.

And Russell knows this and he will turn things around.
