Just wondering if anyone has any update on Richie Towell? I know he played against chelsea in a friendly. Any idea how he got on?
He plays for my home town here in Ireland and would love to see him as a bluebird. Think he is best leagueof iIreland player since Wes hoolihan.

No idea how he got off against Chelsea or if there's any chance of him signing.
Is he in the same class as hoolahan because he is a very good championship player and what type of player is towell?
And why is he a free agent and not playing in Ireland no more?

There is no money in Irish football. So most players play on a season to season basis. The season over here just finished and Richies club dundalk won the league with Richie winning the player of the year award.
He is an attacking midfielder. He scores more goals than hoolihan, makes more forward runs. He has a very good range of passing. Has scored 11 goals in 33 games this season. Assisted as many.
For me he could make the step up to championship level.
