19:27 protest....dying a death?

Sun Nov 02, 2014 12:06 pm

Decided to have a move about from my usual seat yesterday and found myself in the canton end for a change.

However, What I did notice was how much the 19:27 protest seems to be dying a death of late. From the Canton end its very clear to see hardly blue scarves being shown the the Ninian, Family, or Grand stands, and the chant is lucky to last 20 seconds if that!

Any ideas on why this is? Is it because Tan lo longet attends games? Have people become "bored of it"? has this recent Tan comment had any effect?:

"What else can the fans do? They just don’t support, it’s not going to change a lot. Logically they should support because I kept their club alive. I got the club promoted after 51 years."

Its becoming so piss poor I think I'll start to hold the red directors scarf aloft after 20:13 min, maybe then it may actually re-motoivate the 19:27 protest to be a bit more vocal and obvious!!!

The number of scarves does seem to be reducing unfortunately - we need a call to arms to get it going again. On the plus side tere is very little red in the stadium amongst the supporters which is a great show of support. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: I'll keep holding mine up.

We have won....Very little red in he crowd and we have never been a shirt wearing club.

Who we protesting to ? The game is not beamed worldwide anymore, Vinnie doesn't turn up, they barely bother to manufacture more than a minimum order quantity of current replica shirts. The kids are wearing trust shirts.

If this was a boxing batch the ref would have stopped it, but Vinnie is prepared to lose vast amounts of cash to "prove" he is right... We know he will never get that back, he knows he will never get that back.

Now he has his PhD in football perhaps he should look at the German model. If I were vinnie I would challenge the fans to back the club.

1- offer half season tickets now
2 - Allow price freeze prices to all 1st phase tickets for next season
3- Promise is we reach 25K season tickets for next season we can pick the style and colour of next seasons kit

1 Tan never at games

2 It's been so warm not many people are wearing scarves

3 Protest fatigue

4 No one wears red anyway (except a few kids and the players!)

I thought Saturday was one of the few times it was actually started on time.

I like the facts it's done and hope it continues but we know it's not going on change anything.

I hope it continues. Its going to be a long drawn out battle that no other club has faced before.

Personally I feel it is something we have found from all the other ideas of protest that we have tried. This 19:27 is peaceful, everyone can join in but most importantly it is showing what we want. I've resided to the fact we will not get our blue back until Tan goes. What we need to do is tell any new owner what we want.

I have faith there are new owners out there now looking in. We will only know they are for definite when they step in. That could be next week or next year. Whichever one it turns out to be we need to keep the protest going.

Couldn't agree more :thumbright:

Tan is just a stubborn tw*t who can afford to make a point and not fold.

It's a little lacklustre at times but it still makes me very happy!

It's still going, that's the main thing. :bluescarf:

It's no where near as good as it was for the Chelsea game, but the away fans still react to it every week so I would say it's still working.

Might be wrong but in the Prem we had a packed crowd and it seemed to be a lot more uproar among the fans last season.

Probably because Tan actually bothered to attend for the Premier League games.

Thought this Saturday's was better than recent attempts. Problem is there seems to be a lot of people wearing the scarves but everyone's looking around to see who's going to hold theirs up first!

Anyway, you could hear it on the Football League Show loud and clear this week!

I held mine up then had to look around to see if anyone else was.
