Although blessed with a great squad, Slade inheritade a huge task to knit this team together. Failing that in his opening few games, egos within this squad would av ultimately seen him fail.

He's identified his squad is too large to work with. I'm glad to c him persevering with the same 11, this will create a team spirit within the squad but, I hope this don't stop him being more creative away from home.
With a player like Matts, he could slot into centre midfield (create that extra man), play 1 up top.

Don't think macheda and Fondre suit up top. Like them both although, macheda needs some1 with a bit of pace running off him. Thought macheda looked the real deal 2nd half, he'll improve more as he gets fitter. I'm not saying Fondre was bad in any way, he worked his socks off!! Who knows, Fondre nicks a goal and they might click! Thoughts?

Yeah I think there's more to come for macheda in terms of contribution I'd like to think anyway, he's started the season late and bagged a few goals tho. I think when le fondre scores a few more he may work out to be a bit of a poacher for us, he just needs some patience and in the meantime he's working his socks off. I'd like to see ravel or daehli playing away tho with macheda just in front. Would be surprised if anything changed tho!
