I was surprised and disappointed to see his name on the team sheet today in the starting 11 because for me he should have been dropped after millwall for the chances he missed. Today was no different he wasted a few chances once again and had done nothing for me all season, he is just a poor version of Frazier Campbell, runs about a lot good work rate but apart from that offers nothing, same as Frazier except Frazier was a better finisher.
Even more frustrating for me when you have players like ravel or guerra on the sidelines who could take his place yet slade chooses to ignore them and play someone who is underpreforming imo.
Slade needs to sort this out and if he doesn't then it is very poor managing imo, does anyone agree with this or isit just me?

he`s shit

he`s had his chance ffs drop the tosser

He's nothing at all like Frazier Campbell, I agree he should be doing better but that doesn't mean he is shit! Is record speaks for itself! With regards guerra, get what your saying but I think you have trust management as if everything was great and he was scoring for fun in training do you think he would be excluded! He's keeping faith in le fondre, at some point though he has to repay that faith.

i think his record will tell you that he is far better finisher than Frazier, But on current form he should be dropped. Cant really understand how he gets game after game with some of the players we have available.

Needs a proper goal, general play is good but can't score.

Agree with 2blue on this one

I agree he's a totally different player to Campbell. Le Fondre is a goal scorer as his record shows but going through a lean spell at the moment. I'm puzzled by the Guerra situation. The little I've seen of him he looks class and I'm sure that he would get a shed load of goals in this division but he needed a run of games and sadly, for whatever reason, he's not going to get it.

Also there is absolutely no evidence of him and Macheda forming any sort of partnership together.
He's just another striker with a decent goal scoring record who suddenly turns to shit when he signs for us. Alan Lee and Gavin Gordon from the recent past come to mind.
Doesn't help that he plays most of the game with his back to goal trying to win headers against much taller centre halfs.
I'd start Kenwyne ahead of him.

Here is someone else is opinion, makes you wonder if the two of you were watching the same match.

his record proves that he's a good player but his mental state needs looking at and encouraging, relies so much on form to keep going, nothing wrong with his ability otherwise.

I wasn't at the match today unfortunately but I see Le Fondre won MOM.
I think some on here do not notice the work rate & movement made by him.

Slade already getting stick after 3 points as well. And after Alfi was MOM.
Sometimes you just need to have a bit of faith and patience in players you can't just drop a striker after a couple of missed chances it would destroy his confidence. He's only just starting playing last few games really and he's got one in 3 and an assist. He works incredibly hard for the team and his movement makes a lot of space, people who don't understand football undervalue the less attractive stuff.
guerra is obviously doing something wrong for 3 lots of managers not to play him yet fans who haven't seen him train and who've seen about 45 minutes of the guy think he is magic because he got 9 goals in la liga.
Sat Nov 01, 2014 6:51 pm
Alfie and Frazier are different players, only similarity is that they both work extremely hard

But your comparing two goal scoring records from the championship and premier league so hardly a fair toss. Campbell's finishing rate when he played in championship was class.
Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:00 pm
Bunch of loons you lot!!!!!
This isn't fifa 15 or championship manager!!!
It takes a little bit of time for a good partership to develop. It's not just a switch you flick!
turn off your x box and watch some real football!!!
Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:09 pm
Ppl go on about his goal scoring record but it means f**k all if he ain't doing it now, if we didn't have quality alternatives waiting in the wings I wouldn't get on his back so much..
And man of the match be fucked! In what basis good work rate? Goals, assists and general good play looking a threat, creating chances or stopping goals gets man of the match in my book, can anyone point out which of those alf done? His job is to score goals or create them and he didn't do any again. We got away with this today against a poor Leeds side but against a better team we won't get away with missed chances
Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:31 pm
Nubby and Swindon bluebird bang on the money! Not played all season, can't just flick a switch! Can I point out we have win 3 in 4 with that strike partnership
Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:46 pm
Alf ran his balls off and that's enough for me. He kept the Leeds back line occupied. When Wales played their qualifiers bale played crap but his presence was a threat. Wouldn't drop him though would you? I remember when our fans used to accept players as long as they gave 100%, those days are gone.
And before some donkey says I'm saying Le fondre is on the same level as bale, I'm not.
Sat Nov 01, 2014 8:14 pm
Thought tatics were spot on today. Alfie ran balls off then when 2-0 up kenwyn and ravel fresh legs. Fondre missed a few last couple games but at least hes getting in position. Give a little more chance then if still no return drop him. I do think kenwyn would of got headers on target today but 6inches make difference apparently
Sat Nov 01, 2014 8:16 pm
Good post pontypol! Bale was far from crap against Cyprus mind, just maybe not world class! Agree with you though!
Sat Nov 01, 2014 9:37 pm
some of our fans are scum fair play
Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:07 pm
We win 3-1 but you got to find someone or something to have a pop at.
Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:22 pm
Irritated me today......needs a goal badly

Happy with the result. Great team performance. But we can always better ourselves and that would be to drop Le Fondre for ravel or guerra imo.
If we are too beat the likes of Watford derby etc and get promoted we need to take chances like Le Fondre has missed all season simple as that if you all think otherwise then fine but that's my opinion, wasteful striker poor finishing isn't delivering the goods at the moment so why keep him in the team? Give someone else a chance to prove themselves I say, it's always about improvement for me.

Good posts by nubbsy, pontypool, Swindon, etc.
Doing well & a 3-1 home win is enough for me at the moment.
Some fans always looking for a scapegoat on here ffs.
