Macheda hit or miss

Not sure if this posts been done, interested in others opinions on this guy? He came on against boro and clearly wasnt fit and was blowing out of his backside, that's slowly improving! I think he does have a bit of jay bothroyd attitude and his first touch and hold up play could be better, but I genuinely think he will play a big part and will score goals for us. Not the perfect striker but when he does turn he looks half decent as we seen against forest. Scored 8 in a very poor brum team!

Goal scorer, give him the ball in the box and he will slide it in the corner.

He won't run around as much as Campbell, but he will score goals.....

He'll run less than jay, score less than Jay, assist less than jay, defend less than jay,but moan less than jay

I can see the same profile. We had the "grown up" Jay

Both went through top 4 youth set up and thought they had a future at that club. Eventually not thought good enough, Jay bounced around with his ego until he settled at City. Are we macheda's Coventry, Perugia, Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City

I can't believe Jay is still only 32

Don't want to divert to jay but DJ got best out of him and he peaked with us until he got his England cap, had a fling with Lisa snowden, miss an open goal got injured and rest is history!

He got 10 for 18 in Birmingham but has anyone read what he was like in the game?

FairPlay to him, still not fit but got 2 in 2 home games under Slade.. as long as he is banging them in I could give a toss.

I thought he did today, looking fitter and fitter and getting more involved in general play. Think he will be a big player for us.

What can I say, he had one other deflected wide that would have gone in too, he is just one of those players that knows where the goal is, some fans already hate him though for some reason ???

Probably because he doesn't waste energy running for lost causes, although we like to see it, it's not effective .....

Spot on bluebina! Linked play better today! I just like he looks to get a shot off as per his goal!! Don't buy a ticket....

he's got ability.

he's also got a much better attitude than bothroyd. good physique too, i think he'll be a top player here, his next move will be to a premier league team.

He was absolutely terrible today. Lazy, unsure in posession and not aggressive enough in front of goal.

But hes got 3 in 4 - so i guess he has to play goals win matches
