THE NEXT 3 GAMES

......are all against teams with new managers. This immediately alerts me big time. If it was just one team fair enough but 3 in a row knowing that we couldn't handle poor old Millwall really worries me. If Ole was still in charge, however a nice person that he was i wouldn't have expected a win from any of these games. However, Russel is a different person and after the next 3 games and including Millwall's dire result will know the players he can trust for the rest of the season. I think some of the players took advantage of Ole's personality and inexperience and statistics showed that we weren't fit enough to score in the final 30 mins of each game this season. Now then under Slade what does everyone think we'll get out of the next 3 games? Under Ole i would have gone for 1 point under Slade i'll go for 4. Don't forget under Redfearn Birmingham did well when he was caretaker, we know how experienced Lennon is and he will want to turn the ship and Rowett is young and hungry for further success albeit at a higher level. So 3 really tough games in a row that before the recent managerial changes we would have all said that these were easier fixtures for us and a great opportunity to really climb the table. I'm not a negative person but these are the games that we never handle. Look at Shittu's comments,i have no doubt some of the players were intimidated,if that's the case get new players in that won't be.

I don't know what it is about football and football fans but I'm with you on this one. I just hate the scenario of a new manager. Players inevitably pull their plums out to impress and it makes me really nervous. It's the same when old players return to previous clubs, how many times have we suffered at the hands of ex Cardiff lads.

Having said that, is this the reason we beat Forest then Ipswich in the space of a couple of days. I winced a bit when Slade announced that he would stick with his current selection for the next four games. For me that did two things; it said to those that are in, you're OK for a while lads, so don't worry and for the remainder it suggested that no matter what you do boys you're not going to play. I don't think Matts or Guerra would be impressed with a statement like that.
