I can't see whats so special about our team?

We have championship strikers, none who will score over 15 we havent exactly got a shit hot striker in our ranks .

8 times out of ten to get promoted you need players hitting over 20 goals. we have no one.

We are quite light weight.
Quite slow other than Noone.

Our defence is edgy, Its always an uneasy feeling if anyone but manga has the ball or if they (the opposition) are in our half, and even then he doesn't have a clue whats going on because he doesn't speak english.

I still think we are short of 2 or 3 big influences in the dressing room, role model types, strong charachters who have killer instinct and heart on the pitch, that's what we need - Bellamy is a great example in our promotion season.

We have a handful of players with superb individual talent, but I just think we have been unfortunate and lack almost what you could call the nucleus of a promotion winning team.

Good and bad, and the bad is a liability sometimes they turn up sometimes they don't and that's often the sign of a mental weakness.

Slade will keep us mid tableat best top half, I'll be interested to see who he brings in before I make a judgement though

We won the league with no player getting into double figures. At least 2 of our strikers will this season, possibly 3. The defence has been much better the last few games, although Morrison does back off too much IMO.

Once Adeyemi and Dikgachoi are back from injury we will have players with bite in midfield rather than relying on Gunnarson. I wouldn't split Whitts and Gunnar up at the moment but if Gunnar goes off we won't get over-run.

If Le Fondre takes either of his 2 chances we wouldn't have lost IMO but that's the way it goes.

The more I think about it the more I'm convince the appointment of Ole was the prefect disaster.

I saw nothing in him when we were in the premier but most said give him a window to bring in his own squad. Well that happened and as you say above nothing special is being proved.

This was all Dalmans doing and he should resign over it. I've never trusted a smooth operator.

Agreed, I think us fans are cautious about asking for the removal of incompetent managers even though if were honest with ourselves, we should of asked for Ole to be sacked after the Hull City game, can't ever remember being as disappointed as I was with that performance and something should of been done about it by the club's hierarchy.

They were so arrogant about that appointment, they waited for Ole to completely destroy a decent Championship squad full of characters that would of done a lot better than this one.

Marshall, Manga, Brayford, Ravel and Noone. I'm struggling to think of anyone else, apart from Daehli maybe but for some reason he doesnt get s look in these days. A good springling of talent but poor in midfield with the exception of Gunnarsson. Battling leaders with tenacity and prolific strikers are needed before we can call the whole team special!

I think we have a lot of talent but A team is not about that, we seen against forest and Ipswich what can happen when you work and platform each other! I didn't think either of the above mentioned have the talent and technical ability in our team! It's early days, we will improve! 6 in 9 is good! Noone will get fitter others will improve! We def need a top striker!

Special my arse,we lost to bottom of the league Blackpool and those wank bags Millwall who hadn't won a game in9 matches,we are far from special and not half as good as our championship winning side of 2years ago personally I can't see us getting promoted but hope I'm proved wrong

I agree we are not a team like the promotion winning side were and that is more important than anything and getting the correct balance! I am talking individual talent! If that can be put together as a team then we will be a force!

We are missing a couple of big personalities.

People like Bellamy & Hudson.
Even Slade said recently the squad is too quiet.

No I though DJ had a good team and Malky had a good squad in the championship season.

This squad lacks in far to many areas, We dont have enough power or pace.
No cover at Left back, not enough quality in central midfield, not enough pace out wide and not enough different options and to many strikers who dont seem up to it or arent being played. You can get away with a few things bit not that many.

We of course wont sign the player you talk about and im not asking for that, im saying thesquad is unbalanced, we need different types of players.
