He gets a lot of stick from City fans, but thought he's played well recently and the side certainly looked weaker without him. Thoughts?

To a degree I will say yes.
We had our chances when he was on the pitch but let them score when he was off. Logic is pointing that way but then you have to look at the value of our squad and we should be finding a replacement for such circumstances easy. I just can't get this logic out of my head, specially after today, but our squad is just not up for it.

We lack decent replacements in that position. Ralls shouldn't be playing. I am not convinced about Adeyemi either and as longs a dikagcoi is permanently injured we are effed.

I thought the same, specially in the second half,,but i can only agree with Baked Alaska, we are simply not good enough.
We have all been sucked in to a false sense of security. Listen to IH post match press,,,,in many ways he was right.

He has done well lately but I think him going off just identifies how ole never brought in enough quality into central midfield

The 2 like for like replacements were both injured. Our midfield was bound to get outfought without a physical player out there.

I thought he was brilliant today before he got injured. The best I´ve seen from him in a Cardiff shirt. Instead of giving possession away, he made fantastic passes.

I think we could be in trouble if we are relying on Gunnar's to get us up.

It was quite evident from the off that there were a number of players who were not prepared for the dog fight, Gunnarrson being one of them, Noone being another, he went back more times then he went forward. We were not at the races I'm afraid and speaking to a millwall fan after the game said "you lot are in trouble" that's the way they viewed it and that is what I feel also. It's gonna be a long season me thinks!
Oh well on to the next game as they say.

Yeah defiantly we got bullied without him. Thing is we got more cover than ever there but adeyami is injured and dikacoi couldn't be bothered to keep himself fit pre season

Not sure what you were looking at we were playing hoofball long before he went off too. Bypassing midfield on numerous occasions.
The thing is central midfield has been a problem all season because we won 2 games in a row people thought it was sorted but clearly it wasn't. The question is will Slade be flexible enough to change the formation when we need to tighten up in central midfield? Or will he stick to 4-4-2 no matter what?

We lost 1-0 away from home in the championship....calm down, Slade appears a bright man.
I would class Whitts, Noone, Pilkington, Daehli, Ravel, Alf, and now Ralls as finesse players. Macheda for all size needs to be added to that list. We may be able to get away with 4 at home but not away.
Nooney appears to be immune from any criticism on message boards, but he was useless for 80 mins.
Adeyemi has been unlucky, but Digachoi shouldn't be paid. If either of these were fit and on the bench we would have seen a different result

When you have to bring on Ralls who isn't the most experienced compared to Gunnarsson I always felt we was gonna lose our foot hold in the game.
