Without Gunnar Whitts became less effective & most of our passes were hopeful long balls.
We may have a big squad and I realise Digcachoi has hardly featured, but if Ralls is our back up central midfielder???

Ralls is a talented midfielder. He isn't a like for like swap as the commentator said today though. Gunnar has been in good form, he does what he does and maybe now some of his critics can see how valuable he is to this team! You don't realise until they are not there and this had been evident with Gunnar

Gunnar is your typical unsung hero. It's not what he does when he's on the ball it's what he does off the ball as well. He does the ugly jobs like tackling, harrying opponents and that gives Whittingham the chance to do what he does best and be the creative force. Gunnar is a warrior who battles and just because he doesn't beat 4 players and score 30 yarded then idiots slag him off.

Totally agree and a decent guy, spoke to me for ten minutes last week and his passion for city and his country is evident! Wouldn't say a bad word about ogs but was frustrated with the rotation when as he put it he wasnt tired and didnt need a rest!
