" I have to say "

I am excited about tomorrows nights game with Ipswich Town, I was away on Saturday, but reading up on here gives me new hope :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Did we have or show any weaknesses v Forest?

It was a great display on Saturday , the only downsides were our fitness levels again and the totally disinterested jones for the last half hour . Shame because he looked like he had turned a corner beginning of the season , I can't see him playing much for slate with performances like that .

simple football but proved that was the way to set the team up....fitness only concern towards end of game... :ayatollah:

Its going to be tough tomorrow.

Looks like we will have a few key player sout with injuries and Ipswich are on a really good run.

If we get another 3 points then I'll be very optimistic about the rest of the season.

We were good mate, very simple changes, four four two is easy for the players and fans alike and its nice to watch a team with width.

The players were more committed than I've seen in a long time, and you could see and hear the fans start to enjoy a home game again.

We were unlucky with injuries, Adeyemi was only on for two minutes, but was flying into challenges, that's how he got the injury.

The only time we struggled was after injuries and enforced changes, on the left for the goal Deahli was chasing shadows and Noone was beaten easily as a make shift left back, apart from that we were pretty good.

If we show the same effort, I really think you will enjoy it and be positive about the changes :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It was great to see an organised and totally committed City side that pushed Forest and took the game to them. I don't think Slade left his technical area for the whole game, constantly encouraging and giving orders, that was good to see too. I was very encouraged by the game, but I think this will be a tough test against an inform Ipswich side. Still confident of a tight victory though. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Weaknesses was mainly the fitness levels but it weren't too bad as we have seen.

The second half we kept going until the 80 minute mark but that was when we run out of gas.

Macheda looks like he is getting there but you can still see he is not capable of playing 90 minutes IMO.

Le Fondre worked his socks off but once again you could see he's been working hard to get fit as he was putting himself about and was knackered towards the end but you can see the improvements for these two.

Bit harsh on KJ there I think. By the time he can't on we were out of shape and under pressure. I remember him chasing down a few players Ninian stand side infront of the away fans.

His defensive work is good i agree. He is so annoying up front, he wins great headers and flick ons but never busts a gut to get into the box and on the end of the attacks which he was doing beginning of season, his goal tally reflected the effort he put in.
Very rarely does he chase the keeper down or hastle the defenders , he has for some reason gone back into his shell the last 4/5 games and doesnt deserve a place in the starting 11 . Le Fondre and Macheda chased everything and it made a huge difference to the teams performance as a whole.
Imo one of the main reasons we were under pressure is because we were tired and we needed our "FRESH" target man to hold the ball up and chase it down into the corners , he did neither !
