How much longer do we ave to see Kennwin Jones in a city shirt, he contributed nothig to the game yesterday, in fact when he came on Marshall converted to OLI'S way of just hoof balling the ball up field trying find Jones, if he reached him Jones made minimum effort to do anything with it, if he did'nt find him it went sailing into touch' I felt we lost our momentum up front because he had no bearing on the game what's so ever La Fondre was left running around like a headless chicken, don't tell me he was tired after playing in internationals and travlling home, so did Bruno and look at the game he had.
If I had my way he would never wear a city shirt again.
Of all the players that will leave he hope he tops the list.

It doesn't take long for the Kenwyne Jones knockers to emerge. One bad game after he has just played 3 internationals in a week and flown thousands of miles... then straight on his back. He's not the best but he's definitely not the worst we've had either.

He didn't play well yesterday. He is lazy and needs to work harder. However I did notice that on at least three occasions he was in an offside position so didn't chase the ball because he would have been flagged, however, there were lots of people in the canton end who were screaming and shouting at him ( because they didn't realise) when he did the right thing and didn't give them easy opportunity to clear with free kick.

We would of lost if he played.
Macheda wouldn't of scored and the game would of been altered negatively to cater for his unnaceptable contribution hes not a title winning player.
You won't win titles with Kenwyne Jones in your starting line up - and thats what we need to aim for

How bizarre
Everyone sat by us thought Jones was running around as if he had a point to prove
Just shows how people can have different views. Whether or not Jones played well yesterday (after 3 games and 1000s of miles travelling in the last fortnight) is down to opinions but the facts are that without his goals we would be very close to the relegation places right now.
He certainly works harder than Macheda.
I would suggest that if Guerra is out of the picture then it will either be Jones/LeFondre or Jones/Morrison upfront and they will take some stopping

I see some of the views on here and I Thank god some of you are nit in charge of my club lol. Bottom of the league we would be without the goals Jones has scored this season

You're a nob in so many ways.
He is top scorer.
He did not play for most of the match.
He came on as sub. It is common for subs not to pick up the pace of a game.
Macheda didn't control a ball until he scored his goal.
kenwynne won every header he went for when he came on

The irony here is that probably 99% of this MB ( including me ) expected and wanted KJ out of the door in the Summer.
He stayed and for the most part has put in a shift this season. When he came on yesterday he had an excellent reception which reflects those improved performances.
We lost our shape in midfield when we lost Gunner & Adeyami and as a result, we played loads of hopeful long balls towards KJ. Of the accurate passes he won most, but of the poor passes he admittedly didn't show much appetite to make anything of them.
The way I see it, Macheda will probably work better with Le Fondre and KJ probably better with Ravel.
Interesting now Gunner is starting to use the long throw again? KJ every time as Macheda seems to want to use his chest as opposed his head?

I am not a jones knocker JayCee, I don't think we should have ever signed him in the first place' he was a donkey with Stoke and he is a donkey with us. his negative contiburion is costing a good player like Guerra his place, he is in a way like Bothroyd always moaning but without the skill, does nothing for me, and if I watched him for the rest ofthe season he still would not hack it for me, testerday showed one thing if Mr Slade wants to play attacking footbal on the floor then forget the donkey and send him on holiday.
Guerra was disgraceful against Bournemouth. If he can't take chances when offered he might as well go back to Spain.

Kenwyn did ok when he came on... I've been a critic of him before, but the guy has just played 3 internationals and scored a couple too. He's done alot of travelling. Think he's been pretty good this yr.

So do we send all players who have a bad game back to where they came from, the problem with Jones is, he is lazy and looks like he is not interested in being on the pitch unless it is laid on a plate for him, if I employed him when I was in business he wouldn't last long, and that is what you have to look at, he is well paid to do a job, and he is not producing, remember what Russell Slade he wants everyone pulling in the right direction and players coming off the pitch feeling as if they have nothing left to give, it is a philophacy I happen to agree with, can Mr Jones honestly say that at the end of his games I don't think so.

sorry "nob " was a bit harsh, ...apologies for that.....I just don't agree with you view this time.....

Jones chased down a couple of balls yesterday and only a couple. Apart from that his only contribution was 2/3 flicked on headers from throw-ins. That's not enough of a contribution for me.
You can argue his goals this season have been important but he's been in the driving seat hasn't he. Anyone of our other forwards might well have scored the same number given his game time.
Something happens when he's on the pitch that turns us into some kind of crap long ball team. That doesn't suit us and I'm hoping it won't be Slade's style either.

Thank you Barry Boy apologies accepted, we don't agree isn't that what forums are about having good debates, problem is I can only comment on what I see, I feel so strongly about it that I felt I had to make a topic about it on our message board.
Regarding one the other comment made by another poster, that I am smelling of Roathy ? "I don't think so".
