Small but effective
1. Leaving a man up front when defending corners makes a huge difference
2. Like for like subs doesn't effect the balance of the team when it's not needed
3. Gunnarssons long throws being back will be a huge weapon again this year
4. Playing out from the back instead of Hoofing to nowhere
5. Out and out wingers and balls down the line instead of into a main target man
6. Shooting from the edge of the box instead of trying to walk the ball into the goal got us both goals
Slade got it pretty much perfect today I was well impressed

Agreed! You could see how well the shape worked. Gunnerson and whitts moving up and down the pitch together. A lot of positives! Whitts is always the scape goat when we don't do well but he's always been given roles that don't suit him.

Has gunnarssons throws ever really led to much? We also did our share of hoofing it out of defence but merited.
As for subs, what's the point of having John on the bench and not using him when we needed a left back to come on?
Apart from shots outside the box, what else did we create? I felt their keeper was poor for whits goal but from our viewpoint 2 well taken goals.
Better performance but forest looked average so did they have an off day or was it down to us? Time will tell.

I dont agree that we didn't hoof it, saw plenty of hoof ball. As i said i am not impressed by the quality of football, yet. Thought it was more of the same in that regard. But the team looks better organised already.

Good start, but why play None as left back with only Daehli, who was shit infront of him, so having to play out of position with no protection....
