I only heard about this yesterday on the news. I had heard of the actual poppies around the Tower but not that the ones planted outside are actually for sale after Rememberer Day.
800,000 in total I think I heard 700,000 have already been sold.

I know, I only found out last night on the news but the site kept crashing when I went to purchase one so I don't think we're the only ones who have only just found out.
There £25 each but only 10% of the money will go to service charity's

Ye I heard about the small amount going to charity. But then I suppose they do have to be made by hand and the materials etc.
I hope that Cummins guy isn't pocketing the majority

I'd like to think the rest of the money is just costs of making them and transport to the tower. I'll still be buying one though

Bought one of these about 2 months ago, costs around £35.00 with packing and postage.
They won't be posted for a little while though, after Remembrance Day.
All hand made so not all identical. Didn't realise about the low percentage going to charity though !
