Off topic.. Edinburgh parking

Hi
I'm off to Edinburgh end of the week for 3 nights, staying at the Carlton. I've got a van and the local car park has a height restriction. Does anyone know of a suitable place to park, I know there's one or two on here from up that way.
Only the response from the local council was crap

The Carlton pointed me in the direction of the one with restricted. There's street parking but it's a bit of a mare around that area.

Welcome to where I live now. Can't help much with the parking im afraid because I dont drive but enjoy Edinburgh its a fantastic city.

Overnight parking?

Top of regent terrace/Waterloo place.
I know it's permit and pay between certain hours, but you may be able to get away with the overnight for a few days at least.

Just checked regent terrace and the max stay is 4hours. Might park outside and train it in.

Been going up there since the early Nineties, love the place and go every year sometimes twice a year,plenty to do with nice places to visit great bars, restaurants and very nice people,always fly so not sure about the parking situation.
