I just saw the most amazing darts match ever. Sky Sports 1 are in Dublin for the PDC World Grand Prix.
Thornton against Wade. 2 solid darters and both capable of hitting the heights. The format is 501 with a double to start and a double to finish which takes about 10 points off the average scores normally and makes a 9 dart finish much more difficult.
Well, we had 2 9 dart finishes, one from each player!!! Not only that, but Thornton buried his brother today. How he was able to play under those circumstances is unbelievable.
The match was a credit to both players, with Wade victorious in the end, but only after a huge tussle.

Brilliant match only bettered for me by Taylor against Wade in the premier league final in 2010 when Taylor hit 2 nine darters in the match but maybe it is because i was at that game
