Javi GUERRA 41

Tue Oct 07, 2014 7:50 pm

I note some comments on the forum that Guerra appeared disinterested in the Bournemouth game.

It's fair to say that even if he gave that impression he would have just cause the way he has been managed this season. From what I have seen in the time that he has had he is the best striker at the club. He came on against Huddersfield in the second game and he did more in 22 mins than anyone else in 90. He looked class, the way he linked the midfield with attack, his vision and his touch. He again looked good when he came on against Boro.

What amazes me is the lack of game time he has had. He has not been given an opportunity to impress. He has not started 1 of the 11 league game. In fact his total league time is 41 minutes! That is scandalous for a top striker.

Huddersfield - 22 mins
Wigan - 2 mins
Boro - 17 mins.

I hope that he does get a chance under Slade.

Something's not right with this is it?
Like as said above a class act yet never starts a game, mystifying especially as most other players seem to be playing at 75% effort.

Hasn't looked the best to me. But hasn't had a lot of game time so who knows

I can't stand waste....buying loads of players and not giving them a chance is a waste of everyone's time, including the fans who subsidise the player wages and want to see what they are paying for

I'm not calling for rotation mind  just don't like the way the squad is at present with players on massive salaries not playing

Usually when quality players don't get picked it is down to, Manager opinion, training, or attitude or a combination of the three....

Let's hope Slade can while the slate clean and start again and give him a chance......

From what I've seen he's class and...He could play on his own up front, offering more movement than Kenwyne. Everyone was disinterested v. Bournemouth except Daehli when he came off the bench.

I'm not denying nor questioning better judgement but as mentioned in the original post guerra has had very limited time, so how can we say he's class..in regards to how he performs with our group of players he's still unproven and even if ole was a bollucks manager, he Scott and gabs wouldn've played him If he was a game changer. But they never, so it's likely he's not
