Jake 'The Bluebird' Price wrote:I've been supporting Cardiff City since my first game in 2005,which was Derby at home which ended 0-0 where Koumas hit the bar last minute at Ninian Park.My first away game was Reading in the 2005/06 season I think, when we lost 5-1,Cameron Jerome scoring our goal.I'm currently 15 and supported the City nearly 10 years now.But who are Cardiff City now?Last couple of years really haven't felt as enjoyable as the previous ones to that.
I'm currently a ST Holder in the Family Stand.Don't get me started on the terrible atmosphere in the Family either!
Since i started supported the City from 2005 onwards,I really enjoyed going down Ninian Park after my mini pitch games on a Saturday morning. Some games I remember more than others.Beating Plymouth at home 1-0,beating Reading in the cup 2-0 also.Even at a young age i realised the hostile atmosphere at Ninian Park, teams dreaded coming down. Also I enjoyed the fact I support my LOCAL team when we'd all go in to school on a Monday morning and they'd be talking about your Liverpool's and United's and they would always say how 'bad' Cardiff were and that we're in The Championship.I enjoyed being different and actually going to games unlike my friends who would stay at home and watch it on the tele and never experience a football match almost.
Then as I was going into my last year of Primary school,we moved into the brand new Cardiff City Stadium and when i went to go watch the Legends match,I was so proud almost that we,Cardiff City,in Blue are in such a big stadium. Also we reached the Play-Off final that year and I was as excited as ever.Building us up so much as we had the best season in which I've ever experienced and probably one of the best in the clubs history at the time.As many others me and my family made the trip up to Wembley and when we scored,I'd never had such an amazing feeling. Then when we lost,I was on the floor.Crying and all sorts!![]()
I went in school on Monday with the unhappiest face ever.It took me probably the whole summer to get over it.
Then obviously the following season came and It was my first year of secondary school and on the first day our teacher was a football fan and he went round the class on who we supported and yet again, you had your United's and Liverpool's and i was the only one who supported Cardiff City FC.As many City fans that season,I was expecting big things,Promotion. We were defeated in the play-offs again and I was gutted again.Dave Jones left and Malky came in and at the time,I hadn't a clue who he was and where he came from.In his first season,i didn't expect much because the likes of Chopra and Bothroyd left and Malky built literally a whole new squad and when we got to the Play-Offs vs West Ham,i thought to myself, even if we lose, which i expected, the fight and passion for the club in which the squad gave that season was unbelievable,to get to the Play Offs with 10 players at the starting of July was pretty exceptional. That Carling Cup final vs Liverpool, even though we lost was the best performance from a City aide i have seen and when Ben Turner scored that last minute equaliser,I haven't experienced a better moment to this day,the roar and the joy from that goal will never be topped!
Then after a 3rd Play-Off failure,it was another gutting summer,I woke up to the news that we know play in red.And i thought to myself, but we're Blue? And at the time when i was 12 or 13 i thought it could be good with the £100 million investment, but after a week i realised that all of our history is in Blue and my dad was telling me the times before when we were crap i realised this was bad.Personally i hate the red,i would never be seen dead in a red shirt.
So that season passed too and we were promoted to the Premier League, but i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. And also great moment of course happened that season vs Man City winning 3-2 but the season slowly got worse and worse and the relegation really didn't surprise me.I didn't cry like the Blackpool final and ever since the rebrand a part of me died,It's not the same. Also leading to this season, there's NO FIGHT,NO PASSION and the players don't seem up to it.It really isn't the same.I don't feel that fight from the team no more or passion, its not the same as in Blue and people say yeah alright you just hate red but it honestly isn't the same.I still support the City and will till the day i die.One day i hope for a return to Blue and the PROPER badge.
Slade coming in now has actually come to the delight of me.He really gets his team working so im hoping he can give the boys a big kick up the backside and get the players fighting for their position and the club.Hopefully Cardiff City, currently a laughing stock can really turn the tide and regain its 'passionate club' name once again.![]()

Well his post is more interesting and a better read than any of the shite you have ever posted or commented on with your constant nonsense of your god OGS.
The embarrassment of always covering for him even at the end when everybody knew (including Tan) that he was out of his depth & running the club down proves you have no idea about football.
And then you make a jibe about this young City fan - unbelievable.
Well done Jake - keep the faith!

May I pose you a question if you don't mind. Did after our promotion were there more Cardiff City fans in your school?
