Ideally I suppose the manager needs to have a combination of skilful players and some grafters. Could do with bringing in a Medel/ Diame type midfielder to shore up the midfield which is an easy touch at the moment.
Teams that play against us are generally dominating the midfield and our defence is having to put up with wave after wave of attacks.

The loan signing of ravel is important and if he's on song the midfield should be built around him. Perhaps when our squads fitness issues are sorted then the midfield combinations can be addressed as up to now this as been a big chink in our armour. Our midfield as been as poor as the dark days of Rae and mcphail a couple of years ago. I don't blame any individual, some just can't seem to play together.
The main thing we've lacked is someone to have a go and take the other team on and this shouldn't be sacrificed for having all plodders. If slade gets the balance right quickly we could be o.k.

Why build the team around a player that will leave in 2 months? Play him yes, but it would be bloody short sighted to build anything around him for the whole thing to collapse when he is gone.

West ham are doing well, might be hard for ravel to break into the team there this season, however if ravel extended his loan spell and impressed all season at city then he could get in the team at west ham next season, a season long loan deal could then be better all around for everyone then so could be possible?

He is going to court in January that's why it's only a 2 month loan.

Yeh but if he was so important to west ham he could have been playing for them up until January same as he is for us. But west ham are doing well now so come January it is gonna be hard for ravel to break into their first 11 this season imo so might be a better option all around for him to stay at city till the end of the season
