what I like is the down to earth nature of the man, Ole thought he was going to revolutionise the club with grandiose plans above his station as a novice.

Slade just wants them to pull together and work hard for each other

For me he comes across better than ole. Ole always came across as a bit nervous and unsure of himself imo. Russell Slade seems to have a quiet confidence about him, a bit of authority but in a way you can respect. I think the players will take to him. You can deffo see he's happy to get the opportunity with us. Decent size club and fan base, top facilities and a capable squad full of talent, just needs direction and a bit of confidence. hope the players are throwing him up in the air at the end of the season in celebration

Totally agree, it's good to hear that his first thoughts are to build a relationship with the players and install a good work ethos, also goes on to saying we need leadership which I think is massively important.

Just watched the Russell Slade interview you can do it Russ, all the very best and welcome to the best supported team in Wales. All we need is a good run, keep reminding everyone we are only 3 wins away from being top of the league, in such a tight division anything is possible.

i personally think he will be good for the club, my theory behind this he has done is graft in the btn leagues where you need to graft for your points. we have got a squad that should walk this league but after being in the perm a few think they r too good and need a good boot up there arses and i think slide will do that. ole was like a little kid a great footballer but out of his depth in our club. as a big club we would all like a big named manager but that don't always work and i think slide brings the basics back into the club, we have had a terrible start but are still only 6 points of play offs where i think we will finish this year, lets get behind him and support the boys.

Big deal, he can string a sentence together! He didn't say anything that wasn't expected. He comes over as a decent person, but nothing special, in fact exactly what was expected, from everything I have read about him.
The big question is, do you believe this man can get this team promoted? because if he hasn't dramatically improved things by January, then I hate to say it but the trigger will be pulled. It's all or nothing now, for VT. I cannot see VT being remotely interested in Cardiff should we not be in the Premiership next year. If we don't it will mean another manager hunt, VT will be made even more unwelcome as the team will have failed and ticket sales will be well down. I hate to be negative, but the owner has had numerous opportunities to put everything right, but he is hell bent on cocking things up-his way
