He did and he did it, don't see the problem.

Malky problems came after that.

Got to be honest Annis. I thought Tan was out of order there. He really must hate the man.

There was no need to bring Malky into this announcement. This has already overshadowed the announcement of our new Manager.

Tan is obsessed with Malky, I cant understand why he talks about Malky every week, he has finished him off, move on.

Tan needs to concentrate on sorting CCFC out, first priority in my opinion :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf:

VT always drags the club back to it's knees every time he opens his mouth. A simple sound-bite such as 'We have moved on as a club and gave all the info to the F.A to deal with.' Something a normal owner might say when being asked about MM

Rob Phillips just highlighted it on BBC Wales.

Totally agree with you.

Unfortunately with Tan the first priority is always Tan.

Tan needs to do one thing. Reverse the rebrand. Simple and we will all be happy until the next crisis.

"He certainly deserves to be given a chance. After all, Cardiff gave a chance to a mediocre manager from Watford and he took the Club to the Premier League. I did however give him a lot of money to spend for that – in fact, too much money.

Embarrassing if you ask me he has already won Tue war with malky I'll be very surprised if he gets another job or high profile job in English football again but with these little comments he wonders why people think he's got a vendetta against him

CONFIRMED: Russell Slade takes charge at Cardiff City

CARDIFF CITY have announced the appointment of Russell Slade as first-team manager.

By: David Wright

Mon, October 6, 2014

Slade takes charge at Cardiff City

Slade, who left League One Leyton Orient last month, has been touted for the Bluebirds' role following the exit of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on September 18.

The 53-year-old takes over with his new club languishing in 15th position following their relegation from the Premier League and with just one win in nine league games.

Speaking of the appointment, owner Vincent Tan said, “I’m delighted to appoint Russell Slade as the Manager of Cardiff City. I have personally offered Russell this opportunity after giving much thought to the needs of the Club at this point in time and firmly believe that he is the right person for the job.

"I have spoken to many knowledgeable people in the game about Russell, and the feedback has been extremely positive. He is clearly well liked and respected, particularly by his former Chairman, Mr Barry Hearn, who could not speak more highly of him, both as a person and as a manager.

“The stability, integrity and experience that he brings is something I feel is essential for Cardiff City. He is capable of turning a group of players into an organised, tight-knit team, with great team spirit, who will work hard for each other while playing an attractive style of football.

How much money did Malky actually get to spend in the season we got promoted?

It was a great rebuilding job as he hardly had any players the first summer he took over and got us to a major cup competition in 8 months

Someone surely has to give him another chance

Tan's got loads of cash but it ain't bought him any class the man is childish , pathetic and embarrassing the comment had no place in a statement welcoming a new manager to the club

Tan must really have something on Malky , he has publicly ripped him to pieces and is still continuing to do so, yet Malky has not hit back at him at all in any shape or form!!

I WILL FIND THE BREAKDOWN On MM - Transfers for the Championship winning season - to date here is a post :

The final whistle was greeted with a pitch invasion as Cardiff captain Craig Bellamy sank to his knees, having led his hometown team to the Premier League in his second spell with the club. Despite spending in excess of £10 million on transfers, Cardiff’s success has been built on defensive solidarity, hard work and consistency. They have been top of the league since November and have never looked like relinquishing the position, dealing with the pressure and the lack of any real competition particularly well. They have consistently bounced back from poor results and recorded 18 clean sheets - including four in the last five games.

Whilst urging fans to give Slade a chance, despite his managerial career largely having been in the lower leagues with the likes of Notts County, Brighton and Yeovil Town, Tan slipped in a not-so-sly dig at Mackay, who the club had poached from Watford:

“After all, Cardiff gave a chance to a mediocre manager from Watford and he took the Club to the Premier League. I did however give him a lot of money to spend for that – in fact, too much money.”

Relations between Mackay and his former chairman have continued to deteriorate since the Scot was controversially sacked mid-way through last season’s Premier League campaign, as texts purportedly showing Mackay engaging in racist and homophobic language were released last month.

Remarkable, shoot yourself in the foot why don't you VT.

While we finally managed to put this deal to bed and can now look forward.. get behind the new manager to see if he can deliver what we want to see he goes and brings up the past.

I guess I still bring up MM time after time but that's only for debate on this forum or criticise him. Credit where it's due to MM although he had the financial backing to get us up he did deliver, won't take that away from him.. he give VT what he wanted and I don't think there any hate after that.. it was the summer 2013 where MM really let himself down.. you use hindsight which is easy to use we should have went down the route of Hull.. we needed some form of experience like Medel fairplay to him when he done his job to standard he done it on a different level.. but I felt like we could have got someone like Parker who I feel can do the job. Won't go into any more detail about MM.

If he was going to dig at Malky then why not Ole.. why pick one not the other.

Average? Very complimentary of Tan.

Manager with a very, very boring style of football and a poor record in the transfer market.
