Russell Slade was not in charge for the Blackpool game, it was Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon who chose the team and the tactics, Russell Slade will take full control once his appointment is announced.
Tan Sri Vincent Tan has told Slade that the players must take blame for poor results as well as the previous management.
Tan Sri has also told Slade that the players are pampered and all that must stop and they are here to do a job and get the club promoted.
Russell Slade has been promised time to get his ideas across to the squad by Tan Sri and there will be no added pressure from Tan Sri, the new manager has the full support and backing of our owner.
Russell Slade is aware of the fitness levels and condition of each player throughout the squad, a number of players are not at the fitness levels expected and Kagisho Dikgacoi is on a programme to lose some weight after returning to training seven pounds over his target weight.
Tan Sri has instructed the commercial department to review ticket prices, both season and match day, for next season. Tan Sri is concerned about the drop in attendance figures and is aware that the end of the price freeze will play a part in the decision of renewing a season ticket for next season. Prices will be announced in the first quarter of next year.

All that sounds good, and I hope Slade puts his foot down when he's finally in charge!
Also good to see the club doing a rethink on ST prices as a lot will be turned off buying again next year with prices so high!

Increasing season ticket prices for this season was a monumental cock up. Arrogant and almost insulting after the surrender and relegation we endured last season.
Everyone who bought an ST this season should get a big discount off next years.
if we just get rid of 1 player on £30k per week wages then that saves £1.5m
That's £100 each for 15000 season ticket holders.
Disgraceful when you think of it.

Dikgacoi an absolute disgrace for a professional sportsman.
"Niggling injuries" - I don't think so.
Not enough visits to the salad bar by the look of him.
Lose some weight fatty and start earning your vast salary.

Tim, Another big cock up by our club that was and it was all Tans idea, Tan ignored advice on not to increase the prices.
Next season unless we are promoted, the sales will be the lowest for many a year.
So far our average attendance this season is about 20,800(approx) but actually attending is about 17,000, over 10,000 down on last season, I dread to see what happens next season.

Cal, I honestly can not understand how our squad was allowed to become unfit

Good to see, action being taken though

Does Tan Sri realise he could make a lot of extra money for the club if he admitted his mistake and changed us back to blue.Or does he only see the faults in others.

In fairness to VT, he gave his backing to each manager upto a point. He certainly opened his wallet!
The fact that VT is giving time is to be expected, but I actually believe he has laid it on the line to Russell that he can work the squad as hard as he likes. There'll be some noses put out of joint that's for sure. A couple of fat cats will have the cream confiscated.
I know I said this in another thread, but I hope he goes for his very best starting XI and only uses the subs as injury replacements or for essential tactical changes. The team should be fit enough to play for 90 minutes if required.
The pricing of tickets, especially ST's was another kick in the teeth for the ones who have no control over the results, the faithful fans. The fans are paying through the nose for the mistakes at board level and on the pitch.
I feel that every Bluebirds fan who went to that dreadful display at Blackpool should have compensation from the players' wages.
As usual, the fans will give the new boss backing. Perhaps this is the time where some players do the same.
C'mon BLUEBIRDS!! Fire and Passion!!!

Spot on, My boy has to pay youth prices next year and for both of us it will be almost £1000, £1000 quid to watch 23 games of football, It's just crazy.
Sun Oct 05, 2014 7:24 pm
I can see it being a massive fall in season tickets next year, one because price freeze is over and secound is some football fans are just fickle

Sounds true to form. Blame, creating internal divisions, sowing discontent within the club. Classic Tan hallmarks.

a fair price for championship football IMO is £400-500 for an adult season ticket.
between £17 and £21 for a game.
f**k paying £689, who the hell do they think they are. as one pointed out, get rid of just one overpaid, under performing player, and thats the decrease paid for!

Yes think that does help. But if we don't go up this year (which i doubt)... that will definitely help. If he wanted to sell up... that would definitely help too
