NGP parking fine

Sun Oct 05, 2014 10:52 am

Just received one of these fines through the post. I parked in the retail park next to the stadium for the Boro home game. Am I right in thinking you can refuse to pay them? Anybody else had one of these letters in the past?

Write them a firm e mail saying I wasn't parked there you can't enforce the ticket as you aren't the council or police please don't communicate with me the next time I will communicate will be in court they will then go away

I had the same thing about 3 seasons ago - wrote similar to above and have not heard from them since.

Just ignore them, you get the same result of sending a sternly worded email or letter as you do to ignore. After a letter or 2 they will just go away

Cheers for the replies. They say the fine is for loss of earnings although it's free to park there, so I guessed I did not need to pay it.

Don't ignore it - have a look at MSE forum on motoring and you will find all the info you need. They can take you to court up to 6 years after the issue of the invoice and plenty are being called !!

THE MSE FORUM TELLS YOU HOW TO WIN AN APPEAL, DEAL WITH DEBT COLLECTOR LETTERS AND ALL ISSUES RELATING TO ANY PRIVATE PARKING TICKET.

'IGNORE' IS NOT THE RIGHT ADVICE IN ENGLAND/WALES AND HASN'T BEEN SINCE EARLY 2013!

I had the same letter (twice)
Take the ticket/letter to the casino and go to the kiosk at the back of the casino and give them the ticket.
Tell the casino that you were in there on that date and leave it with them to contact NGP.
They will sort it for you.

The loss of earnings can also refer to the shops being denied a potential customer spending money. Difficult to prove if the car park wasn't full which for a night game never is. If you write to them you can say it's your car but you weren't driving and that they should take up the issue with who was driving that night.

The BEST course of action is simply to IGNORE!!!! ;)

I had one of these tickets in Cardiff Gare Services last week when I decided to leave my car there and share a car to a works meeting. They want £100 off me for parking over 3 hours there!!!!
