" Summer signing set for return after nightmare start to Bluebirds career "

Sunday Oct 05, 2014

By Terry Phillips

Kagisho Dikgacoi joined Cardiff City this summer, dropping from the Premier League with a big reputation. But he's barely kicked a ball since arriving. Here we discover where he's been.

Kagisho Dikgacoi is ready to put his nightmare start to the season behind him and launch his Cardiff City playing career.

The South African international has struggled through his first four months of his Bluebirds career, but he will be back in full training during the international break.

“KG has had niggling injuries, but he has been signed off by our medical team and is ready to get back into training,” says City caretaker manager Scott Young.

Dikgacoi still needs to build up his fitness with some intense training sessions and will play for the development team before being included in new manager Russell Slade’s first team squad.

The former Crystal Palace midfield player won’t be ready for the Championship home match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday week or clash with Ipswich Town at Cardiff City Stadium a few days later, but he is aiming to be ready and available for the Bluebirds match at Millwall on Saturday, October 25.

Tim, Its good news :thumbright: but our problem lies deeper than one player. Craig Noone returned and he is one of my favourite players, but we have not improved.

The problem lies within our club, from players,to back room staff to the top of the club.

Its going to be tough for Russell Slade, I hope he is left alone to get on with his job :ayatollah:

Great news. I would pair him and gunnarsson together in centre of midfield personally.

Annis there are problems at board level and behind the scenes at hull and they have still done well because they have a good manager there. Same as us when we had makay here so I think it's wrong and unfair to blame tan etc...
The problem is ole and he is at blame for the mess on the team and club no1 else. Hopefully Russell slade can be the manager to sort our problems out.
And with regards to Craig noone he hasent played regular competitive football for a long time so for you to expect him to come in and work wonders straight away and then use that as an excuse to again blame tan and the board room is also unfair. I think in a few games time we will see the Craig noone back playing with the quality we all know he got.

Do you agree with and understand my points? What's your opinion?

Bollocks. Back in a few weeks!!!!! . A quarter of the season will have been gone. Lazy b*stard. Unfit - for a professional sportsman that is just outrageous. And don't anyone dare try to defend him. It is just a disgrace.

I think Ole's mismanagement has totally demoralised the squad with alleged poor training sessions and his crazy rotation policy left players not knowing what the frig is going on. In my 35 years as a fan Ole was the worst manager, he's left the playing side of things a mess, Slade has a monumental task on his hands. I think we can write this season off already.

be interesting to know what diet he is on, hope he is'nt one of those fatties that balloons over the xmas period as just when he can fit into a Large City shirt, Slade will have to call Jackamo's for a special top for the new year

Me also.
Niggling injuries?.. a few Palace posters came on here when we signed him and mentioned "If you can get him fit he'll be useful".
Sounds a little worrying to me, seems to have a little history of being unfit.
