yeah yeah Im one of the lot who started suporting cardiff because of the norwegian influense of the club.
That being said I never was a Solskjaer fan in the first place. What made me follow cardiff was in fact Mats.
After watching last nights shambles I cant help but ask the question " What if we played Mats and Ravel alongside eachother?"
It seems like stupidity to bench the only player that can play on the same level as Ravel...
To put it short, Daehli and Ravel needs to play together, and the midfield should be composed to suit those two together, as they are by far the greatest threat that cardiff can offer.

Please send a paper plane down to the two that pick the team and make these bizarre changes

Not sure how they would fit into the same team.
I'm wondering if a 5-3-1-1 would work for us

It could only work if we had 2 top quality holding midfield players & unfortunately we have none. Mats and Ravel are both excellent footballers but are prone to loosing possession & teams will counter attack & run straight through us to often.

I agree with this. But for me the trouble we have is finding the best way to get these two in the same team because they both have the same best position and that is the number 10 role in the hole behind the striker.
I see us having 2 options -
1. Daehli stepping up his game as a wide midfielder inside forward type player like David silva plays for man city.
2. Daehli playing as number 10 role and ravel playing more of a centre midfield role and being more hard working and combative in that role because that's what's required in there imo.
Over to you Russell slade...

It's a shame dikgachoi hasent done anything since he's joined because if we can get him fit I think him and gunnarsson would make a great holding midfield pairing

Spot on. Been saying that for awhile. If we look at how ravel has played since he joined City, he was a revelation against Sheffield Wednesday, anonymous against Brighton and did very well but as many people have pointed out he was struggling to link up with the other players against Blackpool. Ravel and Daehli played together for 30 min against Wednesday and it was the link up between the two of them ( and Fabio) that was one of the reasons we produced some of the most exciting attacking football of the season. We became less direct and stopped with the hoofball and actually played some beautiful football for a minute there.
Ravel in a midfield of Gunnar, Adeyemi, Ralls, Pilkington and the likes is in many ways having the same issues as Daehli in that that the other players aren't as quick witted as him. Daehli is the only player that can match him on vision so why not try them together? Yeah we need a defensive midfielder that can stop opposition from running through our central midfield, but we need that anyway, its not like adeyemi and gunnar and the likes have been able to stop that from happening anyway.
Slade needs to get someone in on loan unless he can get dikgacoi up and running.

4-3-3 with a front three of Guerra, Matts and Morrison

But then you're playing both of them out of position

what about the Chelsea style, that allows 2 creative AMC's like Oscar & Hazard on the same team. Play Morrison is the Hazard role a bit wider.
Of course we can't do that as our CDMs well i'm not sure if the club has any apart from one bloke on the Adkins diet yet to play
