The anger and Stella has subsided now
I am not sure what we are trying to do. I understood what malky was doing, it wasn't pretty but effective. It evidently wasn't going to work in the premier league, but we are not there.
We started with limited width under Malky. Hard working players who tucked inside (Conway & Cowie). Later Bellers gave us directness and pace, and Noone trickery and pace, but both were threats and scared the opposition. Pilkington wouldn't scare me, he is like Whitts three or four season ago but (so far) without the dead ball or delivery skills. IMO Daehli is in that bracket to.
Playing Ralls, Macheda, LeFondre Daehli on the flanks really raises the white flag, they don't scare you, but don't work hard enough in the middle to compensate. Burgstaller reminded me of Conway, not the most gifted, but a grafter.
Slade better have a plan, because fumbling around in the dark without a clue is what has got us in this predicament
