Even if it goes to court, VT has stated publicly that he wants Slade as our manager, & for the fans to get behind him.

If this is the case, then whats the delay?

Rick, Orient want more than the £100,000 compensation City have offered them.

Word is this may take a few weeks (at least) to sort one way or another

The club (Cardiff City) are "confident" they are able to conclude a deal, as they believe that Orient "constructively dismissed" Slade when the squad were told he "had one game to save his job" after so much success!

The purpose of triggering the 'release clause' was only to "play fair" with Orient and City were happy to pay the set amount

Sadly, the Orient owner sees Tan as some sort of 'cash cow' and are being more than a little greedy (polite version)

Isn't that the amount of the "buy-out" clause or the compensation they are entitled to?

I'm no great fan of Tan, but I have some sympathy for him insofar as everyone sees him as some sort of open cheque book who they can try to screw for as much as they possibly can.

Having said that, there are plenty of very good out of work managers who could start straight away and for whom Tan would not have to pay a penny. As Tan has got himself excited by Slade however, he'll have to put his hand in his pocket again.

I expect this to be sorted by the weekend i hope.

why should we give them compo if he resigned?
