He received plenty of respect when he first joined. Malaysian flags in the crowd "Tan the Man" banners, then he totally disrespected club traditions and identity....

Let's say you just bought a chip shop... and you'd pumped a shit load of money into it BUT you'd changed the recipies and the menu and the decor...

and loads of the old patrons were shouting and swearing at you calling you a wanker etc (as in the above post). Would that make you more or less likely to change everything back to how it was.


We've covered the fact that you're not going to sing his praises... and that's fine, I can understand that. But as I said, shouting derogatory remarks makes it LESS likely he'd want to change things, not more (in my opinion)

He didn't he said he respected our traditions but would pump 100 million into our club if we changed our kit to Red as it had a strong connection to the Far East and he liked the colour. We said we wanted to remain blue and he said that's fine but I'll seek alternative investment to the club. We (not all admittedly and not me personally) then clamoured for him to change his mind as we wanted the investment. Most then were quite happy while he was spending the 100 million until we started to struggle in the premiership.

You can see why he thinks we have no honour. I think it.

There are exceptions to this of course and many have been against it from the start.

Just posting something I saw, from a Cardiff fan, about his views on Cardiff the way he sees it!

Supported Cardiff since Rick Wright day's as a kid, Go to support the Team and my City, who ever owns it!!

We said we wanted to remain blue and he said that's fine but I'll seek alternative investment to the club. We (not all admittedly and not me personally) then clamoured for him to change his mind as we wanted the investment. Most then were quite happy while he was spending the 100 million until we started to struggle in the premiership.

Not the whole fan base just a few. Our fans can be the best around but haven't seen that for a while.

We could have easily kept blue and Tan agreed to this. But there would have been no investment. Like it or not the vocal fans made it clear we wanted the investment. If there had been the protests against the red he wouldn't have changed. How many were at that Keep Cardiff Blue meeting? Not a lot at all.
