There are many questions before tonight´s match. Will they keep on in 4-5-1 or has Slade convinced them to play 4-4-2? Will Ravel start? What about Connolly? Will the coaches make a point of keeping the same team as vs Sheffield Wednesday?
Here is my guess. 4-5-1
Marshall
Brayford - Manga - Morrison - Fabio
Noone - Whitts - Ravel - Gunnars - Pilkington
Jones
Bench:
Moore, Connolly, Ralls, Dæhli, Adeyemi, Le Fondre, Macheda

Although I like to see Connolly play I would definitely keep the same team that started Saturday.
Whilst Ravel was a bit of a revelation in the last game I would bring him on maybe a bit earlier to let him get match fit & maybe start him then in the next match.
Let's do the opposite of OGS who completely cocked things up here & get some continuity & confidence in the team.

More or less the same as the op but swap noone and Pilkington and start Mats over Noone as he is not looking very sharp. I would also like a more agile striker playing in front of Morrison but I can't see them dropping Kenwyne and in an away game is probably the better option.

When fit Noone is one of our best players.
You say drop him because he's not looking sharp but the only way he can look sharp (match fit) is by playing him!!

Actually, I would go with Dæhli over Noone as well, but I just have a gut-feeling he´ll be dropped to the bench. I would probable play Connolly over Morrison as well, as he has been one of the most consistent players so far this season.

Yes I understand that but Brighton away is a big game, Daehli looked sharp last game especially when Morrison was there to open up more space. Blackpool away should be an easier game so I would play Noone then. And with the international break coming up, he can always have some games with the development to get that sharpness back.

Personally thought Noone was the most switched on player against SW.

Agreed. Get continuity and a system going. Play 4-5-1 away from home to help control the midfield and get a point.

although Noone didn't do much wrong against SW it was clear to see he wasn't match fit , I would start him tonight give him another 60mins and bring Morrison on again

That really seemed to work last time, would agree

Our best team IMO
..............................Marshall...................
Brayford.........Morrison......Manga........,,Fabio
........,,,,Gunnar/dik...........whitts..............
Noone..................ravel ................ Matts.......
......................jones/guerra.................
If Dikgacoi was fit I'd play him he is more comfortable on the ball than Gunnar and more efficient as a midfield destroyer
I'd probably stick with jones for now but would like to see guerra introduced into the team, for the same reason more comfortable on the ball, more mobile and can run intelligently down the channels.
Matts and ravel must play together, they had a great understanding first time I have seen matts play with an attacking player on his wavelength. They weaved quick little patterns with fabio, pilks couldn't always keep up and for that reason id leave him out, and for the reason that noones pace is more valuable.

No way was Noone match fit against Sheffield Wednesday, granted he did little wrong but was nowhere near the player he has the capabilities of being whenfully match fit.

You might be right what with some of the strange selections lately. But honestly whitts holding? Who is no 10? Gunnar? And adeyemi who can't pass water if he tried. That line up just makes me sad. Agree on the strongest line up though.

I wonder if Eikrem will get a shot at a place in the team.. When I see the options available in midfield (defensively) I'm frankly a little worried. Eikrem won't blow anyones mind, but I think he can do a good job over time if they give him the opportunity. Maybe the balancing piece missing.

I think it will be the same as Saturday with maybe Morrison coming in for Noone and Daehli going out wide. Two starts in a short space of time might be a bit too much for Nooney coming back from injury.
I think one thing Youngy and Gabbs are keen on is continuity, we've earned a good point away from home and 3 points on Saturday with a very similar team in the same system. The only changes they've made from the Derby game was Fabio in for Ralls (Fabio back to fitness) and Daehli for Adeyemi (Adeyemi looks off the pace at the mo) and both seemed to work a treat. It's nice to see logical changes made rather than just for the sake of it.
