Yes. As long as we f**k everyone over and go into Admin, cheers lads. Love the idea of screwing creditors over

Two administrations that's the last thing a club should want, nothing to be proud of there.

The 9mill parachute payment helped considerably to achieve their goal, still be in shit street without it.

Great patronising because I don't wank off a club who have no morals

What's the obsession with Portsmouth? Do our fans have short term memories, they beat us in one of our biggest cup finals to date where they spent ABOVE their means as bad as us, hired the cash leech that is Harry Redknapp on more than one ocassion. We've also had a fair few run-ins with them.
They've been in administration twice and are languishing in the fourth tier of English football. Bravo Pompey, what a business model to follow

There's different ways to do it, who's to say which is the right way?
Mon Sep 29, 2014 11:00 pm
hmmm............... didn't another team(not that far away) do a similar sort of thing to this, and got slated for it, and some people are still banging on about it.
Very pleased for Portsmouth, but the hypocrisy of some people amuses me.

We can't get a 1927 min protest going properly although buy the club.

why are you crying about businesses that gave too much leeway to a football club. They should of pulled the plug on any agreement they had as soon as the club began defaulting on an agreement

Do you seriously think that CCFC will ever earn to money to pay VT back?!
Crazy talk!

Would be very sensible... They spent well beyond their means of, just like we have & have had to cut back accordingly. Would be great advice.

Not the fans fault though, they don't say what players to buy or what manager to hire. Good job Pompy!

Just reading this thread shows the massive divide within the football club at the moment between fan. Bring on Administration. People who are caring about the businesses who we owe money to, you don't see us caring about us when we had the HMRC knocking on our door 4 years ago.

Yeah let's go in to admin twice and f**k everyone over

Agree with you on the home support. Some serious work needs doing there.
Please don't confuse me with Baker.

I think the Pompey model is a great one. Fan ownership is the way to go and screw these rich mercenaries. Look at Germany and how its football is thriving with fan participation in the business affairs. Too many good old clubs in this country have been sold down the river on the whims of "Sugar Daddies "

I would hope a large percentage of our fanbase would have a high enough moralistic standing to wish for multiple administrations JUST to get a blue shirt back.
Shame on anyone who believes it is a plausible option.

Of course administration isn't an option. Tan will never put this club in administration as that we he is definitely going to lose his own money.
Tue Sep 30, 2014 5:58 pm
I don't think our club can take the moral high ground here. We would have been in administration years ago if it wasn't for Tan rescuing the situation. Since then, debts have been "paid off" by him. If Tan was to leave and lose his investment, there are plenty who would be celebrating.
Pompey fans haven't caused their club's creditors to lose money, nor have the managers, back room staff and of course the players. The board have done all they can to preserve the club and succeeded along with a strong supporters trust.
In case some haven't noticed, all this has taken place during a recession of global proportions. Many thousands of businesses have gone bust and creditors have been forced to write off monies owed. This is the real world. Bankers made a fortune while the rest of us suffered austerity cuts. Public sector workers have endured pay cuts and freezes while MP's awarded themselves huge increases.
Nobody is suggesting intentionally bringing Cardiff to its knees financially and shafting investors, but if a debt-free future is what everyone would like, it will take years of cuts or years of success. I know which one I would rather.

You know that, I know that but there are rather ominous thoughts running through the thread that some would accept it if it meant Tan gone and the fans running the club.
Its all well and good Portsmouth telling us to get our club back but no one has the odd £80 - £100m hanging around.

Don't get the love in with them? Screwed creditor's twice only paid off debt because of premier' money, and only took over club due to substantial help from owner! Got what they deserved spending money didn't have for several years and pleaded poverty later when it went tits up with harry!
