' Cardiff City joint caretaker manager Scott Young: '
"If it was our last game then it's not a bad record really. We are unbeaten in the league, and we have taken four points out of six.
"We will have conversations over the weekend with the owner and the chairman and see where we go from here.
"We all know winning breeds confidence and hopefully this result can do that for the squad. We have taken a point at Derby and we have won at home here, now it is important we get a result at Brighton because that will keep the confidence building."
Bluebirds stalwarts Young and Gabbidon have restored some pride into the Cardiff side with this win coming off the back of a draw at Derby in their first Championship outing.
Questions had been raised after the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup, but Young said the players had responded in perfect fashion against an Owls side who had not lost away from home in the league previously this season.
“There are a lot of games coming up so we reverted back to more or less the same team as we could as against Derby,” said Young.
"The lads put another performance in. Winning games breeds confidence. That’s the most important thing for players on the pitch.
“From day one we knew with the quality we have in the dressing room that it would shine through. We need to realise week-in, week-out we have to show the desire and do the ugly things in football as well.
"We have got quality going forward but have to do our defensive work first. When we played we gave everything and that’s what we asked the players. They dug in at the end here and that is what we expect, that is our minimum requirement.
“If it was our last game then it’s not a bad record is it. Unbeaten in the league, four points out of six. We are enjoying every minute of it.
"We will have conversations over the weekend with the owner and chairman and see where we go.”
In the second-half of this clash Ravel Morrison came on for Cardiff to make his Bluebirds debut. The midfielder is on-loan in the Welsh capital until December from Premier League West Ham.
" Danny Gabbidon "
said those within the club had already been left impressed by what they had seen of Morrison.
“Everyone knows his undoubted ability. From the first day of training he was showing things that some players just can’t do,” said Gabbidon.
“Even our own players were a bit gob-smacked by his ability. We want what he brings to the team.
“He also gets other people ticking as well and he could be a big asset to the team.
' Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray: '
"I thought if we had got our noses in front we would have won here as they would have been a bit nervous at home.
"I thought once we went to 1-1 there was only one team that was going to win it, but it shows that if you do not defend your 18-yard box properly you are going to concede. We have tended to do things right in both boxes and we did not do much right in either."
