Why do clubs announce the official attendance

When its always 1000s less that actualy turn up ? I know they include season tickets sold but surely they know who turned up on the day !

I can't think of any other way they could monitor how many people in the stadium other than number of tickets sold.

Surely it wouldn't be hard for the turnstiles to count how many times they turn.

As we have an electronic system, could easily clock it on that.

Under Sam everyone moaned it was full and they would announced a low attendance :lol:

The club go by ticket sales, not who turns up. I don't get fans who have season tickets and don't turn up.

Ur holidays, weddings, children's birthdays, christening's, illness. Probably loads more reasons as well. :lol:

By that point I know you mean when they don't turn up to like 10 games which I do believe some actually do.

I always look to get my moneys worth.. I usually aim to do at least 18 games.. that's depending on if something family related or something else comes up.
