4231 with players in their correct position

About bloody time !!!!!

Whitts and Gunnar will always divide opinion, but we got stronger as the game went on.....

Defensively the system needs work, Pilkingtom was out of position a few times.

BUT WE WON :D :D :D

When Ravel came on we actually switched to 4-4-1-1, which in my opinion is better.

Two solid banks of 4 are needed, and I think with an old school manager coming in we may just revert to a good old fashioned 4-4-2

Very happy would just prefer couple of changes - Guerra for Jones , Daelhi to replace pilkinton on the wing and have Morrison at number 10, then adeyami for whittingham to add a more defensive minded and physical player if Whittingham is going to hold he can't start as he is a passenger when comes to defending

We've been crying out for this formation since the start of the season but Ole was to concerned with playing 2/3 strikers a game.

It makes us more solid and allows our 3 attacking players behind the striker to be creative and make things happen. When Jones is willing to put in a shift and pull defenders around he can compliment the formation well but if he's not on the top of his game then at least we've got plenty of options up front.

Slade's going to have his own ideas and has a quality group of players to choose from, I just hope he can bring stability and have clear thoughts on how he wants to set us up and sticks to it. The players need a settled system that suits them and a system they can believe in.
