' Ravel Morrison '

Thought he looked a different class when he came on. Despite all his baggage, I am very excited about a city team with him in it for the next 3 months. I thought Macheda was awful when he came on though, looked a yard off the pace.

Agree with that, dont think morrison gave the ball away once. And I can I think of one replacement that we could have made instead of Macheda... (clue: he's spanish)

Yes I have to agree with you there. Twice Macheda could have been clean through on goal but he was just useless. Guerra or Le Fondre with Ravel in behind could cause loads of problems.

Agree with both. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

He looks class fair play, if he plays like that every week then he'd make a great signing in January

Every time he had the ball he had the crowd on their feet. His quality was there for all to see.

Different class, looked above pace over so many players on the pitch and i dont think he lost the ball. Exciting 3 months with him hopefully!

He was excellent when he came on. Every touch he took was class and he did not stop running.

Would be great if he produces that form regularly. :ayatollah:

He could well be that missing link, back 4 were good today, we worked hard second half and deserved the win. Hopefully the start of our season.

Did more in 20 minutes than Zaha did in half a season.

This game was crying out for us to unRavel Morrison! LOL :laughing6: :laughing6:

Seriously, he made a massive difference and I felt the game became a lot 'safer' when he was on, as Wednesday were fearful of the threat he contained and others (particularly Fabio before his injury) fed off his enthusiasm in a sort of "if he can do it, then so can I" sort of way!

Pilkington easily MotM for me, but several good displays, including Kenwyne (with no one in support in the first half) and Morrison standing out from an improved crowd :ayatollah:

Ravel was everything we lacked all season! His arrival delivered class, composure and PACE!!!!! :bluescarf:

Prick

But a quite footballer, although he did nearly cock it up at the end.

Class today, for me totally transformed the team when he came on. Reminded me of Koumas the first time around, founded passed others would never see. Looked like he had lost it a few times only to pull back a top class pass.

Jeez wot a player and do we need him - head n shoulders above any other midfielder we have, made Whitts look pedestrian - sparked city into life playing at at high tempo and got the crowd up as well, he's got an arrogance and the skill to back it up - there is light at the end of the dark tunnel let's all ravel in it :P

Correct!! When Morrison come on, the game changed. At last we had a forward thinking midfielder, PACE!!! All of a sudden our midfield slotted into place. Whitts sat in the middle of the park(looked comfortable or maybe happy to be relieved of the burden of being our match winner)! Gunnarsson(later adeyemi) was the spoiler and Morrison was that creative spark who's first thought was to attack!!
Problem now is the formation.....I'm not, along with most, happy with the 4-5-1, especially at home but......How do we set up????

Every time he touched the ball he had you on the edge of your seat thinking something was gonna happen. Very talented player let's hope we get a good 3 months out of him!

Fabio was playing superb all through the match not only when Ravel came on so he did not need to feed off anyone and up his game
